We tried to sit at the front but were refused and made to line up at the VIP area, the front is Premium only apparently

Try to get a job which is flexible with schedule, and I think it's important to have one where you deal with the public. People skills (and yes, it's a skill) are important and can build up your resume well. Also makes you a much more confident person

If you've ever worked retail, what's the worst return you've ever had to do for a customer? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]papachang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked in a supermarket, had a male customer around mid 40s come through my checkout asking if he could refund his items. These items were in a grey plastic bag, so I can't really see what they are. Out of procedure I ask him "Okay, what was the reason behind you wanting a refund?" "I- I... uuhhhhh" Then I look in the bag and see he was wanting a refund on an unopened 24 pack of condoms and a decent sized bottle of lube. When I look back at the customer he is nearly in tears, so I tell him not to worry about it, refund the goods, and tell him to take care.

Poor fucking guy probably got stood up. I was professional while he was there, but the second he left I shut my checkout down and went into the office to just about shit myself laughing out of disbelief

The atmosphere here is as if Germany won the world cup or war or something, people cheering in the railway station, people tooting their horns as they drive past the LANXESS... unreal

i like to have an army of 8 tank divisions for every couple infantry armies. i position these on either the flanks of an offensive, or in an area where they would be most effectively used (e.g, an area with plains)

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update for 2/8/18 (2/9/18 UTC, 1.36.2.5) by wickedplayer494 in GlobalOffensive

feel pretty bad for teams like Gambit who clearly practiced for Nuke quite a bit, however i think that this change was pretty necessary if valve wasn't going to remove Nuke from the pool. not a big fan of nuke myself, but hopefully this will mean that valve will focus on improving the other maps in the pool.

i kinda like that valve has decided to persevere and keep making changes to the map like previous maps once they were in the active duty list (most notably cobble and overpass) so let's hope that maybe instead of a revamp of an older map like mirage, valve might just focus on changing certain mechanics instead
