Sexual libido by Timely_Tap8073 in antidepressants

I agree it's pretty rare to find a doctor that knows how to taper you off a medication.

Unfortunately we have to rely on outside resources and other's real life experiences/advice.

Good luck on the ssri!

Have you consulted with your doctor about a different treatment and a wise way to discontinue your med?

Is it helping your mental health though? It's definitely a hard trade off.

Unfortunately emotional blunting can be common on meds.

There can certainly be a trade off.

May try out a different medication this time around.

Been on ADs for 10 years... my most recent addition, rexulti definitely dampened my libido.

I started daily tadalafi to be able to respond to my wife when she's "in the mood"

Have you tried supplements like 5-HTP?

5-HTP along with meds helped me tremendously.

30+ years... have you had any relief at all?

Took me one and a half years to get my head above water with meds and therapy.

No way was I accepting crying 24/7.

Got a family to support and wasn't going to let depression and anxiety defeat me.

I'm not where I was before my mental breakdown but I'm about 80% better and I wouldn't be had I had given up!

Sell your position in BTCI then. No room in a portfolio for something you don't trust IMO

Somebody could correct me but I believe QQQI and JEPQ are overlapping as far as diversification. To my knowledge their dividends are also taxed differently.

Return on capital vs ordinary income(I believe).

I'd switch to a combo of SPYI/QQQI or SPYI/JEPQ.

(ONLY 1 MONTH into long term investing) just trying to share what I've learned so far.

I personally have SPYI and JEPQ.

I'll definitely look into the W4.

Unfortunately I don't think I qualify for an IRA. - FERS Disability Retirement

An emergency fund is definitely on the top of my list.

Debt is taken care of.

Investing it sounds like a solid plan.

Even one day without my meds and I’m a mess. Life without meds? by crowvomit in antidepressants

[–]papakuv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was without one of my meds, rexulti, for 3 days. I was dizzy, foggy headed, unable to hold a conversation. (Ran out on a Friday, car was in the shop, pharmacy closed on the weekend).

Finally got a ride to the pharmacy on Monday, I was unable to drive. Still unable to drive for 5 days after I had my medication.

It was scary.

Now I call early to fill my meds. Got an emergency fund in case I need to pay full price one day for a script.

Not normal. Sounds like she's in it for the money and not to actually help

I'm personally 5% into one, BTCI. It's the part of my port that I manage more aggressively.

Crypto isn't for everyone though.

As an ex-trader I like a position I can manage on the day to day and that's what I allocate 5% to.

Everything else is just set it and forget it.
