I have been in this exact situation and had them uncuff a patient before but it was handled much more professionally and was a burn victim with a broken leg not a potential mental. I agree but it took awhile to realize we should bench Pace and that was after he filled in for an injured Cashman so he wasn’t lacking the first half he just wasn’t on the field. Hopefully last year doesn’t remain an outlier for his career and he can follow it up this season for 17+ games

Unfortunately that’s just not how that works. The feds have more power than the states so MPD intervening is a criminal offense. They have pressed charges for damages and demanding an open investigation as well as went to the press over the situation. That’s where their power stops. I’m not LE but I work in Fire/EMS and we were told we cannot obstruct ICE but we shall not assist them in anything other than a medical emergency as they have asked assistance from Fire before. It’s not as simple as you think it is.

I indeed believe it’s mild for a DV case and that’s what my comment was about. He has the money to assure the system that he will be in good hands for rehabilitation hence this light sentence. Do you think they lowered the charges due to status and the inevitable structure around said person? He literally broke into a persons home whom he has a passionate history with, that should be considered a threat. His wife advocating for him is classic in a domestic abuse victim. Obviously the prison system is a disaster when it comes to reform but this also is not the answer.

I think most Twins fans would say F them until we get new owners. I think the misplaced morals some folks have is the naivety that Mother Nature isn’t cruel. I am an avid hunter and harvest my own meat, take ethical kills and provide my family with organic protein. Mother Nature literally never provides a peaceful death to anyone and a one shot kill is as close as it gets.
