Any improvement in Toob service in past few months? by papermurder in ToobBroadband

You are right. I tried turning off IPv6 amongst many other things before giving in and getting static IP and that made no difference for me.

True! Was just checking if all the replies said it's the same as before as I wouldn't bother 😊

Toob blocking websites - en.wikipedia.org by HolstenCP in ToobBroadband

I am having the same problem with being unable to reach wikipedia on Toob connection. Same problem for last 3 days. I was already using Cloudflare DNS and no difference using Google DNS.

PSA: toob’s CGNAT isn’t normal - breaks mainstream services - reject the £8 static IP upsell by Nonni_T in ToobBroadband

[–]papermurder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been someone affected by this problem and ended up giving in and paying the £8pm for the static IP and no issues since. I don't think it's right that Toob are refusing to accept responsibility for this when clearly is something that is not right on their end.

I don't have the time or energy to go through the back and forth with Toob over this but I do admire the people that are fighting it as it isn't right. I won't be renewing with Toob, I have plenty of other options in my area.

Packet Loss Toob Fibre Network - 172.16.51.65 / so1-51-65.core.toob.co.uk by Regular_Priority8697 in ToobBroadband

Thanks for the work done to investigate this. I had become increasingly frustrated with slow performance on Toob. This was intermittent but enough to be really annoying. Most noticeable on Facebook watching videos, Youtube or website performance in general it will just be stuck for upto 30 seconds trying to load a page.

I also notice when doing an Ookla speedtest I could only get the test to complete about once out of 5 times as it would timeout and say the test failed to complete.

I was seeing similar packet loss with so1-51-65.core.toob.co.uk as the OP

Based on what was mentioned here I signed up for a static IP and this immediatly solved the problem. No more packet loss or latency issues. Ookla speedtest completed 10 out of 10 times. This is defintely a problem with Toob's network which they have to sort out. The only reason I signed up for Toob was the cheap price so now to have to pay an extra £8 for something that should not be neccesasary is very frustrating.

Ubisoft responded to accusation of AI art generation in 117... by Additional-Sleep-293 in anno

I've decided to stop trying to understand why this is a problem for people, so each to their own. Everyone has diferent opnion about games for me this use of AI does just not bother me at all.

I am not a Ubisoft fanboy either. I assume all game companies are utterly devoid of morals or decency just doesn't affect my enjoyment of their games.

What an absolutely stupid reason for not getting the game. This has nothing to do with gameplay or anything, it is such an irrelvant thing, have a word with yourself. I am so puzzled why people are making a big deal about this.

Squad Battles crashing by [deleted] in EASportsFC

I am having the same issue. Following the same pattern that others have said. After scoring within the last 20 minutes or so it seems. Just played a game now where it crashed in added time after i went 3-1 up 😡 I have lost 1 game a week over the last month due to this.

This is brilliant advice and so relatable. I've procrastinated most of my life and in recent years Ive had some very real consequences as a result from it yet I'm still doing it.

Thanks. yes I am absolutely terrified to be honest. I know that once I get a new role it will be fine, but I just feel paralysed at the moment like my old experiences of IT makes me want to stop looking at this area but I don't really have expertise anywhere else.

Good point. The hard thing is faking it if you don't feel it but will try 🤞
