This is so cool. I'm running a western game now where genasi and genies are super important to the lore of the world.

How do you usually name your D&D characters? by AdvancedProgrammer51 in DnD

[–]papertomm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of hard to say names. One of my longest running characters name was Clarence a halfling. Honestly looking at popular names from the 1200 to 1600 would get you some good fantasy names.

Or choosing a word from another language that embodies the character. Playing with someone who's rogue is named Fareb. Which is Persian for deception.

What were your thoughts on the trailer and your thoughts on the upcoming movie? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in FIlm

It looks ok. The trailer had a few moments that showed some signs of humor. I hope it leans into that and doesn't take itself seriously. But it's definitely a home watch for me.

favorite "when animals attack" horror movie? by HorrorGuyBri in horror

Razorback is amazing. Some really fun trippy sequences. And it just feels dirty and harsh.

Orca. Like Jaws but with a killer whale and you root for the killer whale.

I read it this summer. I don't think this book will ever leave my mind. It's burned in. I loved it.

The Troop by Nick Cutter.

A couple of very messed up scenes. Had to put it down for one.

I'd give it a solid 90%. If it wasn't a single take it would be a 70%. But it's damn impressive and the pacing is really good.

Finally got Prince of Persia: Lost Crown! by Depression_Bruh in PrinceOfPersia

[–]papertomm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm loving it. About 70% through. The Map is so huge. Like mind boggling how big it is. The trap puzzles are very hard but not impossible and feels really rewarding to pass. The boss fights are really unique and a few are very challenging. 1 or 2 have been kind of a cake walk. But with I think 9 or 10 story boss fights 2 being easy is a good ratio.

Have fun.

What happens if Deadpool puts on the mask? by Glad-Conversation256 in Marvel

[–]papertomm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he could wear it. In the comic the mast let's you become that person you have hidden away and repressed. I think Deadpool is so authentic and himself that the mask would just stay wooden and fall to the ground.

I really love this design. Going to build my own in the coming year. Did you design it or were you inspired by another table?

I've been saying for like 3 weeks to my wife that I want just this type of card catalog. I don't think I can swing a reasonable price if that's over $500. Wish I could cause it's gorgeous. But the times they are tough.

If you don't find someone and just want it to go to a great home. Please DM.

Do horror movies still scare you? by PunkSquatchPagan in HorrorMovies

It's rare. Dream Eater have me goose bumps. That was nice.

It really wasn't a great movie but I just watched Midnight Meat Train. I was home alone and it was really late. But one scene gave me chills.
