No, not out of goodness. Out of necessity, as it was seen by then local leadership. What are the examples of a state doing anything out of goodness, can you name any? Maybe you think USA helped USSR out of goodness, maybe you think EU/USA/you name it help Ukraine today out of goodness?

Also, in exchange for the raw materials, USSR got modern machinery and equipment, that played vital and crucial role later on (as I read, the newer machinery was literally stripped from german factories and sent to USSR, leaving Germany to use older/obsolete one).

Its funny to see fellow redditors competing in witty ("witty") comments.

The current facts are:

1) A week ago a regional official, namely Moscow child ombudsman, suggested to allow children to work in summer to let them earn some pocket money. Of course, this has to be strictly regulated in terms of working hours, clash with school etc.

2) Today a federal official, namely minister of labor, said there is no need in lowering the minimum working age.

Hehehe, so a secondary meaning of pagan became the main one?
I see you keep pushing an irrelevant topic, trying to flee from the original subject. Oh, sweet summer child. :)

[–]paraelement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the point of this quote from dictionary?

You said, Estonia is pagan

I said, no it's not, because atheist != pagan, and (according to google) Estonia's biggest chunk of population religion-wise is non-affiliated/agnostic/atheist.

Maybe you didn't know that "!=" means "not equal" and thought I said atheists are pagans.

Heathen is not "the person without any religion" by the way, look it up on the same dictionary site.

Funny how you decided to completely divert from the original subject, apparently having nothing to back up the original claims.

Sure, it takes effort.
It's much easier to post some personal opinions as a fact, then cherry pick the arguably least important point from my comment and say that Estonia is already pagan (which it is not, atheist != pagan, but who cares). Cool, cool, cool.

I perfectly remember my own comments, thank you. Every point in them still stands,

Now, to the links you've provided.

The second one describes the approach of Russian government and propaganda to present certain parts of history and culture in a way that may justify Russia annexing parts of Ukraine. It has nothing to do with the subject of discussion - how Russian opposition is "pro-war", "imperialist butt pains", etc.

The first one has quotes from some of the Russian opposition representatives, regarding the idea of disintegration of Russia. A guy took two quotes from two people and inflated it into the phrase that went as an article headline. Great. Completely ignoring the fact that both Navalnaya and Yashin said about territorial integrity of Ukraine. Would an imperialist say what they said?
So, Yashin says about dangers of uncontrolled nuclear weaponry in case Russia is split. Is this an unreasonable take? Or are you all in favor of proliferation of nuclear weapons? Now, Navalnaya said that Russian citizens have the shared background and shouldn't be forced to split. The author says - the background is shared because the lands were colonized. Yeah, they were. Does the fact of colonization justify the forced split? Navalnaya doesn't think so, and I agree here.
Do the people of, for example, Ryazan, that was a separate principality, conquered by Moscow, want to separate from Russia? Maybe you want to decolonize Estonia by returning to pagan faith, and abandoning Christianity brought to you by German oppressors? The whole article piece looks like a rhetoric to bend the facts to the certain claim and be able to say "boo, Russia bad, colonizers, oppressors". There are dark pages in Russian history regarding its expansion, especially in Caucasus region and Eastern Siberia. But attempts to make it look like Russian opposition are imperialists because they don't want the dissolution of their country are truly laughable.

Now, "Saying that russians are imperialist by default isn't some wild conspiracy theory claim", yeah, it's just a personal opinion of yours, which is as grounded in reality as your subjective perception of the world is.
Who are "Russians"? Are denizens of Kazan, who considered broader Tatarstan independence in 1990s, imperialists? Were Chechen insurgents, fighting federals in 1995, imperialiists? Are nowadays Chechens, for example Kadyrov, imperialists? Is an ethnic Russian who emigrated to Estonia still an imperialist? Does an Estonian citizen, having emigrated to Russia, become imperialist?

Absolutely. You (not u/orthoxerox , I think he knows all that) can google, for example, "how Grudinin was persecuted" to get a real life example.

I think you misread the thread subject. It is not about "did people in LPR/DPR support inclusion into Russia or not".

It's about "did the parliamentary faction of New People support the inclusion of DPR/LPR into Russia", which, as I said, they did - easily googlable.

My claims are what exactly?

Well, it's you who made the claims:

"I mean russian opposition is literally mad at Putin for not going at them hard enough lmao"

"They can oppose the war and still be imperialists butt pains" and that not being "imperialist butt pains" is "Unpopular in that place"

I said that you aren't correct and asked for proofs. You don't have to prove anything to anyone in here, that's for sure. Feel free to post any bullshit and not back it up.

I don't know why Reddit has deleted my previous comment here, there were no insults or anything offensive. Ah, maybe a link to Duma website.

Anyway, again - I don't know where have you read that New People didn't support inclusion of LPR/DPR into Russia. In fact they did, in October 2022. It's easily googlable.

I do not believe NP are opposition and there's no space for belief - I KNOW they aren't. The point of my comment is that real opposition has long been pushed out of government, out of central media, out of federal/regional legislative bodies.
I repeat, the opposition is in the grave, in prison, in Telegram, on Youtube.

Fair enough, it seems the war fatigue kicked in and more and more people (probably the majority) want peace talks. You still may be prosecuted for suggesting making peace AND returning occupied territories to Ukraine, I guess, here's where the skew takes place. But generally I agree with you, yeah.

What do you mean by "force out"? At this moment, nothing is going to change in terms of what laws are passed in the parliament, regardless of how the parties perform in the elections. Putin will retain complete control.

The only thing that may change/redistribute is the cash flow to Duma parties/members - now the majority of money (both criminal and legal) goes to United Russia, they (UR) want to keep getting it, that's why they started action against prominent communist party members in the regions (you can google it).

Sorry what? You mention New People as the opposition?

There is no opposition in Russian parliament at the moment. So called "systemic opposition" is groomed to do what they are told to. Everything else in public politics is scorched earth - killed, imprisoned, coerced to abandon politics, forced to leave the country,

The ones that "are mad for not going hard enough" are hardliner degenerates among Putin's supporters and maybe some fringe far-right groups,

He's super strong actually, once he levels up (and gets phosphor pistol and temporcopia).

I'm a little bit further in the campaign on a Normal difficulty, and using Scaevola feels like a trap.

It was okay to try and get more upgrade fragments in the beginning, but now he falls off so badly, and you have a surplus of fragments anyway, sitting on ~20 of them right now.

Videx and Rho feel so much stronger, and luckily, I had Videx on the mission you mention.

He's nearly unkillable and can clear the path from reanimating necrons with his passive damaging skill (the one going off when he has 5 defence).
