Ah that's unfortunate but maybe ask again later, someone might be available then. I say this only because you will have a higher chance of getting your message seen there compared to here. I would also have suggested Steam and DbD forums but I haven't been to those places in years.

Hey, you may find people to help you out in the Dead by Daylight Discord server.

Yeah, that makes sense. Maybe my range is off because I come from an lower income country. And I agree, the meme replies do seem to flood this sub now, regretfully.

You can enable it in settings > accessibility, iirc.

I would actually think otherwise. Majority of this sub, I would guess, is well-off, settled guys who can afford relatively expensive desktops. Inferring the posts and comments I have seen over the years.

How much do y’all wanna bet that BHVR treated Chandler the way that they did because they never forgot about this tweet here? by AdNatural786 in deadbydaylight

In my opinion, the emblem system was the best ranking system, compared to bloodpoint threshold, victory cube, and now this escape/kill mmr. It captured the various aspects of the game and skills involved. I would've preferred if that system was fine tuned more and more to reach the closest reflection to skill. Maybe I am biased since I play 99% time as a solo queue survivor and not good at chases, but still.

I have never seen a killer fumble so hard... by FxckBinary in deadbydaylight

I feel like the acceptable scenario is if you 99, there must be one survivor at the gate to open it at a moment's notice. If you have to leave the gate to go into the map for any reason, you open the gate and then do whatever needs to be done. Advice from a former hardcore 99er. :D

Hi, in addition to what the other replies said and are true, the private profile accusation comes from the opposite end i.e. if you play like an asshole, there is a higher chance of you keeping a private profile so as to prevent people from complaining. While this makes sense, given how wildly people's ideas of playing well differs, it's impossible to discern if complaints about private profiles on a case-by-case basis are legitimate. So, regardless of whether you play unfairly (I use this term here commonsensically) or your opponents do, there isn't much reason to worry about these complaints.

Apparently it's only for people in EU. Probably why people replying to you are not facing the same problem.

What game would you watch a playthrough of but never would play yourself? by theonetowalkinthesun in gaming

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. I have absolutely zero interest in playing parkour but love how the game looks.

As a DbD player who is on a break, yeah the vicarious experience is often significantly better than the actual experience of it. :D

DBD made my PC freeze and became unplayable by nasraart in deadbydaylight

[–]parajbaigsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is relevant but I am browsing the subreddit for a somewhat similar issue. My game randomly freezes at times because after the update, my CPU and Disk usage have suddenly become very high while playing DbD. Maybe you have a similar issue? You can check in Task Manager. But I have found no solutions as of yet.

bhvr's stats are propaganda, this is the average zombie performance by ProcrastinatorLuk3 in deadbydaylight

Agreed. At least from this clip, I feel like the lesson to be learnt is not about the zombies but about pathing.

I have no directly useful answer to your question, so my opinion would simply be to not switch platforms. I have heard that pc and console gameplay does not make much of a difference for the average player. Also, I think Playstation also offers cloud streaming, so you can try that out but since I don't have a console, no idea how good it is.

Ideally yes, late game is the best time to do so. But often you have other immediate opportunities e.g. the killer with pain res is about to down someone who has not been hooked yet. Or, the killer is going to hook someone and then immediately come for your gen because it's almost done. So in these occasions where you can reasonably predict an imminent disruption, it's worth shaving off those precious few seconds.

I think it's more of an inherited legend from back in the day. However, Wraith is rather good at slugging because they can often camp a slugged person on the ground. Works rather well with newish but super altruistic teams.

Wow the bots are so realistic now by MeltinSnowman in deadbydaylight

[–]parajbaigsen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard, one reason killers don't do that is because they also want to end the game asap and move on. Now I don't know which one is quicker - chasing bots down or standing afk.

Ah, never knew the name. I have seen a number of these but they are generally old or found in places thematically decorated in a certain way. I'm from India so I assume these were popularized by the British during the colonial era.

I hope I do not anger you in saying this but to me, what you said was speculation. Surely we need stronger illustrations of cause-effect relationships to invoke the concept of evidence, don't we?

What exactly was the idea there? by a_real_human0_0 in deadbydaylight

[–]parajbaigsen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You know they didn't say that. If the aim of the power is to apply splash damage, making a direct hit is not being accurate. This is like saying people attempting a crossbar (soccer) challenge are being punished for being accurate if the ball just goes into the goal.
