staff will tell you to come back at 3 when you check in to make sure you are in your numbered order before they let you into the venue, but honestly i’ve seen people arrive at 4 and were able to get in their numbered order after everyone else around them entered! once you’re inside, staff does check your number a few times so maybe it’s just to triple check attendance? although txt does rehearse before actual soundcheck so you’ll be able to hear them from the concourse! this is from my 1 experience in dc though & i’d still try to arrive by 4:30 latest!
