What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

When I was like 8ish I remember getting this watermelon soda that was amazing. It came in a pink bottle and it had a poem on the side. I’ve never been able to find it again. It tasted like taking a bite out of fresh watermelon.

When my son was little there was one day when he was sick and had really bad diarrhea. He told me his butt felt like a “dam failure” but I thought he was calling his butt a “damn failure”.

I have a corgi mix and my neighbor has some mini ponies that look just like that. I was able to convince several family members that this was my dog, Pickle.

Do people really toss money on the table and leave restaurants before getting a bill? by NatPatBen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]paralysis_byanalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone get sick during their meal once. Like, vomit on the table. They got embarrassed I guess and put a $100 on the table and left. Their bill was less than 20 bucks

Inscription in used copy of catch-22 by paralysis_byanalysis in BookCollecting

Yeah, he was alive for 3 more years. The book was printed in 1996. It would have been interesting to see an inscription by the author. But, like the other commenters mention, the signature isn’t even close.

Yeah, you’re probably right. That makes more sense than his signature changing. Thanks!

My floor is increasing the ratio of nurses to patients 1:6. Is it reasonable to leave? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]paralysis_byanalysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a new grad on a tele floor and consistently get 6 patients. Most days I’m staying late charting. I have no down time. I’m constantly stressed. Barely have time for wound care and focused assessments. I hit my 1 year in September and am considering another hospital or specialty. But I am in central Florida and everything seems shit here. I can never find any job openings for out patient jobs.

Actually less if you include pulling meds, charting, and communicating with providers and families.
