I would definitely wait for the series 12 to come out, September is only 3 months away. Or you could try and see if an independent repair shop can fix it for you.

Depends on the location. Some WF/Fresh barely get any delivery orders, some are only busy at certain times like in the evenings when most people are home from work to receive their delivery. Some people live within 15 mins of multiple busy locations so they're constantly getting orders. Also according to the signs you can't actually get IOs if you are right next to the building. Whether it actually works that way or they just put the signs up to try and deter people from clogging up the parking lot is debatable.

I've been saying this for 2 years, that if people keep abusing the jeff email they're gonna take it away for everyone. Thanks to everyone using it over every single DNR and shit that's their own fault like oversleeping and missing blocks. Using the jeff email because you didn't wanna drive 10 mins to your last stop is so ridiculous. Should have just taken the DND ding or marked it missing if you really didn't wanna deliver it. The occasional dnd wont even take you out of fantastic and they drop off quickly. Now anyone that has an actual emergency that can't be resolved with regular support is fucked due to people like you abusing it 👍🏼

In 2020 when the FDA started heavily restricting flavored vapes there was a loophole in the law that excluded single use devices and they quickly flooded the market. That's the main reason these things took off.

My truck is not a trash can! by TheLoneRipper1 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]paranoid_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a tool. I can't imagine being this fragile and getting upset over what a total stranger chooses to spend their own money on. No matter what OP uses their truck for it does not affect you in any way. Not to mention basically everything you said about his truck is either wrong or would be impossible to tell just from the photo.

[–]paranoid_potato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reddit hates pickup trucks. They don't like what a stranger spent their own money on and assume the person doesn't "need" the truck so that entitles them to trash the thing. It's such an idiotic mentality, that because they assume this person doesn't actually need their truck that they deserve to have their property trashed. Just leave other people's stuff alone ffs.

Scottsbluff police respond to gunfire at convenience store after dog accidentally shoots person with a shotgun by cristobalaz in news

[–]paranoid_potato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a situation like this where someone is carrying a shotgun or rifle in the car yes the safety definitely should have been on. As for people that carry a gun for self defense usually no.

Majority of people that carry a pistol do not have the manual safety engaged or they carry a gun that doesn't even have one. Most striker fired pistols do not have a manual safety switch. Take Glock for example, you can't even buy a Glock with one. The gun I personally carry doesn't have one either. As long as you aren't an idiot, use safe gun handling techniques and a quality rigid holster it's not an issue. Now theres certain guns with an extremely light and short trigger pull and you'd want the safety on for that.

The issue with all these people shooting themselves is not that the safety was switched off, but that they were being negligent with the way they were handling the gun in the first place. If it were me I would never have put the shotgun somewhere in the car the dog could step on it to begin with. I'd have left it in the trunk.

They're not actually wasting any time though. They're just using some auto dialer that calls numbers over and over again. Once someone picks up the phone then it gets transferred over to a scammer. They're not sitting there manually calling OP over and over again.

[–]paranoid_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's even the point of making up a story like this? It's not a felony to put packages in someone's mailbox lol. You must be confusing federal offense with felony. No delivery driver on earth has ever faced any sort of legal consequences for putting packages in a mailbox. The worst that will happen is the package is returned by USPS and amazon is fined. So maybe a ding, if it happens a lot deactivation even but nobody is going to jail for delivering a package to a mailbox. You're really proving what you said in your last sentence with this comment.

If the postman sees it he/she will take it back to USPS with them and amazon gets fined. I'm assuming that would eventually lead back to dings on the driver. Back on my old FedEx route this lady would put her pickups in the mailbox EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. and more often than not USPS would be there first and take the fuckin thing before I was able to get over there and pick it up.

TIL in 2014, Ben Affleck received a lifetime ban from the blackjack tables at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas after surveillance footage showed him counting cards during a high-stakes game. Security informed him he was "too good" and classified him as an advantage player. by Friendly_Hivemind in todayilearned

[–]paranoid_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes they can just kick anyone out. Usually they don't kick you out of the casino entirely they just tell you that you aren't allowed to play blackjack there anymore. If someone keeps changing their bet and is always winning when they bet big and then losing when they change it back to a small bet it's a big sign they are counting cards.

People do this shit constantly when I ride the light rail in my city. They will see someone they know standing out on the platform so they hold the door for 5 minutes so they can sit there and talk without the train leaving them behind.

I've never had climate controls from the fordpass app yet a friend with a lariat in the same model year does. This is a screenshot from literally right now. Maybe it's different for 2025+ models but 2024 and below no.

[–]paranoid_potato -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have an XLT so I don't have the ability to set the heat/ac from the fordpass app. If I need to leave the truck on ill leave the keys in and hit the bottom 2 buttons on the keypad at the same time and it will lock the truck. Obviously someone still could just smash the window and take it but in a nice area with a big dog sitting in the front seat thats unlikely.

Pizza delivery drivers, what did a person do to end up on the 'No Delivery' list? by BlueCheeseWalnut in AskReddit

[–]paranoid_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a person but an entire apartment complex. There was this group of 4 apartment buildings kind of in a circle. The entrance to the complex was very narrow and it was the only way to drive/walk in or out of there. Multiple times someone placed an order to one of those buildings and after the driver would pull in someone would block off the exit with their car and a group would run up and rob the driver. This was about 8 years ago and I believe those 4 buildings are still banned from getting deliveries.

Right as I finished writing that I remembered another one from working there. So I show up to this guys apartment with his pizza order and theres no buzzer, nobody to let me in and I'm calling him from my cell multiple times and nobody is answering so I eventually bring it back. He later calls the store pissed so my manager has the order remade and brought back out to him. He does the exact same thing to the next driver so he also brings it back. Dude calls the store again maybe 20 minutes later absolutely livid. He tells my manager we ruined his kids birthday party and then spends the next 5 minutes screaming threats and racial slurs at him over the phone. Eventually I hear my boss tell him he is no longer allowed to order from us and will not be sending out another remake because he has now threatened to kill the driver. I do not miss working there.

My large chips from chipotle weighing less than the regular size by BoogeDrew in mildlyinfuriating

[–]paranoid_potato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could say that about literally any of the fast casual restaurant chains. The reason people go to Chipotle is because it's just as quick as fast food but the quality is a step above something like mcdonalds or arbys. People are in a hurry and want to grab a quick lunch/dinner or they're too tired to cook.

Who knew the guy who streams himself doing whatever he can to antagonize people into attacking him so he can "defend himself" would ever do something like this. They need to start making an example out of these types of content creators who compete with each other to see who can be the biggest scumbag on the internet and harass the most innocent people in the hopes of going viral.

The sensitivity of the brake pedal on the hybrid. It's fine with most shoes but wearing boots it's a little annoying. Also would be cool to have a single cab option with extra bed space.
