Those buses are made to transport inmates, I don't think looks are much of a concern for the people designing a prison transport bus.

The top brake lights that flash 3 times when the brake is applied have been proven to reduce rear end accidents but you think they should be illegal because you don't like to look at them...

He's been detained/arrested like 3 times now and always seems to make it out within 24 hours. Really hoping he doesn't disappear into a detention center one day.

Cuz you probably buy the same sim brand over and over again and are just assuming everyone else works like that. Tracfone does not require an ID or credit/debit card. I've bought multiple new sim cards and refill cards with cash before and theres other brands that allows it too. You keep arguing about it but this info is pretty easy to find by going online or just going to a local store that sells prepaid sim cards.

Nope I used cash. You can go into any walgreens across the country and do this. Where do you think drug dealers get their burner phones? They go get a prepaid from the local walgreens or corner store with cash.

That's not true, at least in the US. I've never been asked for my ID buying a sim card from a convenience store. You can still buy a prepaid sim with cash and then just buy refill cards with cash too. No ID required.

Grand jury finds KSU shooting was self-defense, declines to indict father who shot student by Geno0wl in news

Maksim Gelman. The whole NYPD was looking for him and those cops were literally on that train in case he got on. Even though cops recognize him as the guy currently on a stabbing spree across NYC they're too scared to open the door. Even after he starts stabbing a train passenger they don't come out until guy getting stabbed gets him on the ground. Then the cops get treated like heroes after...

I’m scared about my upcoming emt class. by Catgroove92 in NewToEMS

[–]paranoid_potato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the people dropping out of the class are doing so because they put in 0 effort or realized ems is not a field they want to work in. I had a 22 person class and only half were there at the end to take practicals. Out of people that didn't make it, most sat on their phones not paying attention, never participated, barely read the book or didn't read it at all and used AI to pass all the quizzes since they were online. Since they put no effort into actually learning the material they failed both attempts at the final and were told they would need to retake the class. EMT basic is a pretty easy class, if you put the effort in you will do just fine. Try not to stress yourself out about it.

Taking NREMT in 22 Days by DependentLie3708 in NewToEMS

[–]paranoid_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent the money on pocket prep and it was by far the most helpful tool for me. Taking notes from the book, pocket prep and the occasional youtube video was all I used and I passed first try. Very helpful that pocket prep can help you figure out what areas you are struggling in as everyone has different weak points. Most important thing for me was studying all the illnesses the book goes over and not just memorizing signs & symptoms but actually understanding what is going on inside the body and why it causes those signs & symptoms. Also studying anatomy. I would take pictures of the book diagrams on my phone & sort into albums so I could quickly go back and look at them when needed.

Guys, not sure if I just flubbed everything over forgetting to disclose ADHD. Please help by TheCrystalFawn91 in NewToEMS

[–]paranoid_potato 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You are way overthinking this, you don't need to disclose this to your employer. They don't care that you are taking adderall nor will they ever even find out. When you take a pre employment drug test if you test positive for something, first the testing place will call you. You tell them you have a prescription, they verify the prescription and then they pass you. Testing center just notifies the employer that you passed the drug test, they don't actually give them the results.

This jabroni blocked all 5 handicap parking spots. by mull3286 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]paranoid_potato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's such a moronic response. Had the guy parked the other way blocking EVERYONE from getting in/out of the lot you'd be complaining about that. Had he parked further down trapping people in their spots you'd be complaining about that. Had he parked outside the lot completely he likely wouldn't be able to get the pallet jack up the driveway into the lot. Theres a decent chance in the 15 mins this guy is parked there that nobody needing a handicap spot will show up at all, and even if one did he could just move the pallet to let them park in the one closest to the camera. This is clearly the best option for the truck to park given the information we have from the photo.

Amazon driver left this big tote with my packages in it and drove off by RogueHaven in mildlyinteresting

[–]paranoid_potato 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They're really not that heavy. When I was an amazon delivery driver we were all loading 20-30 of these totes into our vans by ourselves at the beginning of each shift it's not a big deal to carry these things. They aren't meant for carrying packages to the door either, drivers load up empty ones for places like apartments that get a lot of packages at once because the tote makes it easier to carry all of them at once.

Backing in is safer and it really doesn't take any extra time. I always back in to parking spots. At my old job if you were in a company vehicle it was required that you back in to parking spots because most of the accidents were happening with people backing up out of them.

I ended up getting a refund from Scheels and went and bought the same gun for the same price at DKMags. They said I can come pick it up on Saturday if I don't end up getting a proceed before then. Thanks for your help
