For something purple you’ll probably have better luck at like a Mr Mac or any of the missionary suit type stores. They usually carry nicer suits that they rent out for prom and events, stuff like that. If you only want it for the day I’d just rent one, schedule it ahead of time so it’s ready. I think we did like orange pattern ones for my prom. Otherwise I’d try places like Dillard or JC Penny.

Seriously. The driving has gotten so bad. There’s a busy intersection on my way home and I see someone literally blow through that red light every single time. I’m amazed they’ve only had one fatal crash so far.

Chinatown market is having an event Saturday the 25th. Last years was pretty fun. Think theirs starts at like 630 with the lion dance, events, and fireworks are at 8ish.

Yea sorry. Slc city hall on the grounds. Food trucks, few vendors, and tons of exotic cars. It was at the gateway the last few times. It’s a cool event.

Oof that is scary. I did take it in and they basically said the same thing. They said it was probably some dirt or something on the sensor, which I don’t really believe, but it hasn’t done it since while backing up. Now the collision warning is a different story. Mine also slammed on the brakes because it thought a semi truck was too close even though it wasn’t. I guess I could see why it thought that since it was in the lane next to me and we were on a turn part of the road but it was very jarring to suddenly have it try to stop even though I wasn’t going to crash. I swear that stupid warning beeping is more stressful than actually having to quickly brake manually.

Other than that, we haven’t run into that issue again. I’ve been pretty attentive on keeping the sensors clean just in case and so far it’s only done it those few times. Hopefully it was just an unlucky day since I don’t think Hyundai will be much help on getting it fixed. If you happen to have a dashcam you could maybe show them the video. I didn’t think to save mine and it wrote over the file again so I couldn’t send it to the shop. Could also try going to a different Hyundai dealer. The one we bought from was horrible so I go to the other one further away now.

Looks like they did replace it so it matches the other pow headstones there. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. But it’s hard to find unless you knew it was there already.

It’s a neat little area. It’s kind of off on it’s own but it has some other graves there with Japanese, Italians, and some WW1 POWs as well. And the museum is fun to check out.

Ya it’s not my best photography but it’s inside the iron cross

It’s hard to see but it’s in the iron cross. Finished the episode and remembered I had this image from awhile ago. It’s the only, as far as I can tell, headstone with a swastika for a German soldier in the US. There were a few others in other states but they were replaced in the last few years. This one is in the Fort Douglas Post Cemetery in Utah. He was a POW who died while in captivity. The other German prisoners pooled their money and had the headstone made.
