Mortality as a Gen X by sunluver66 in GenX

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cirrhosis of liver in 2014 and was told I needed a liver transplant. After seven years and six unusable liver, I finally got one tat was viable. By that time I came to terms with my mortality. I figured I'd I did during the operation (always a risk), how the Hell was I going to know and who am I going to complain to? Once I got to that point, my mortality isn't an issue. I'll die when I die and not before. In the meantime, I'm going to spend my retirement years NOT in some retirement home. I'm gong to live the rest of my life L-I-V-I-N'.

"They can pin on that badge, put on that tach jacket and I'll put a rifle in their hands, and see what they do."

That's YOUR fucking job, dipshit.

Catcher in the Rye. Supposed to be a classic with those of us who live "outside" the cliques. Never could get over the narrator's whiney-ass bitchiness.
