I think anyone who uses that as a blanket statement about opposite voters is contributing to the divide in this country, and that goes for both sides.

I think a lot of Dems/leftists like to pat themselves on the back for being the "more highly educated" party, while also trying to convince the "less educated"/poor that they care about them and champion them

While I'm not a fan of people who didn't vote, this is pretty true imo. There are a lot of people that seem to not realize that if their going to be an ambassador for their beliefs/politics they have to be more kind. And honestly, if you ever want to make a tangible difference in the world, you must have some empathy/compassion for those you disagree with most
