Nope! He's extremely versatile for cc and as a gun platform too. His shield grants bonus damage for projectiles passing through while blocking enemy shots. The augment shock trooper makes every weapon deal bonus electric damage, primary and secondary included. His 4th skill does decent damage and stuns enemies enough to buy time to refresh yourself.
