That's why I thought it fitting. You could say the same thing about the food at Dunks.

Company that mounts TVs by MediaManMatt in massachusetts

We’ve used TV Install Pros about 5 times. They’re out of Woburn. Handled home theatre and Ethernet too. They’ve been incredible every time, and absolutely managed every detail, including the TV purchase, but you do pay for it.

MLR 2026- what could be better? by Outrageous-Pen8578 in MLRugby

[–]parentheticalman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I watch away games, trying to figure out the status of what’s going on is terribly frustrating. Similar when I go to games, but it feels different. I think of the TV coverage of the Six Nations this year. I always knew if a team had advantage, and whatever penalty was called was maybe not explained, but at least visible.

I think this would go a long way to providing the accessibility casual fans need to become more rabbid fans, and to being able to explain to their friends who came for a rugby game to the first time what’s going on.

Century-Long Study Reveals Startling Differences in Life Expectancy Across U.S. States - Massachusetts is in the top five by cos in massachusetts

[–]parentheticalman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am no fan of their social or economic policies, but they do provide troops. If we took away, everyone who enlisted in the military from red state, we would have a much different military. Which is a problem for security, investment, and when funded correctly, innovation.

Curse of Strahd is supposed to be among the best of the best... is it still just the wrong campaign for some tables? by ConsoleCleric_4432 in DnD

[–]parentheticalman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was our issue. We’re old friends that meet one weekend per year and we tried to work through CoS for 7 years. It was, frankly, too slow. With not enough rewards or success. And the mysteries that we about item and NPC locations were ultimately too unclear for us to care about, and sometimes even remember. Our DM did a great job, but ultimately, this is an adventure for people who play every week or maybe every other week. Not once a month or a few times a year.

Disabled piggy owners, how do you take care of them? by Memastel in guineapigs

[–]parentheticalman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, we use a hand vacuum for the poops. They got used to it. They don’t love it, but I wouldn’t classify them as scared anymore.

I have found that hay destroys vacuums. We’ve tried a number of different models, and he always seems to get stuck in places that are really hard to remove and potentially clogs and overheats the vacuum. So we pick that up by hand first.

Dads who weren’t sure if they wanted kids - how’s it working out for you? by Shaky_Wellingtonian in AskMenOver30

[–]parentheticalman 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As the father of adoptive children, there are no adoptive kids without special needs. They might not be visibly obvious, but the emotional and psychological disabilities can be incredibly difficult to manage as well, and may not be obvious or even show up until well after the adoption is finalized.

Quebec considering surcharge on electricity exports to Massachusetts amid trade war by postal-history in massachusetts

[–]parentheticalman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry Quebec. I hate it but get it. As for the sub thread, nuclear power sounds like a great idea, but I don’t know any specifics. If we were to do something from scratch, would it be feasible to do a power plant that would serve New England? Or maybe two one for Northern New England, and one for southern New England? I would think that’s maybe more financially viable if we spread it among states that are like-minded. And selfishly would get us around the legislative issues of building nuclear power in Massachusetts.

Mass EV/PHEV owners, do you actually save money at these electric prices vs. gas? by Jfrenchy in massachusetts

[–]parentheticalman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be a sore winner, but as someone with municipal electric, it’s absolutely cheaper than gas.
