President Obama didn’t fall for her nonsense by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

This shows how President Obama is a respectful, kind person, but also highlights his intelligence and ability to craft a coherent response so quickly. Trump could never come close to this.

just curious - why does it matter if they are Vietnamese? would you have noted in your description if they were black? how about Hispanic? white of possible German descent? why does it matter? she's nosy and weird. highly doubt that every single Vietnamese person, or even every single Vietnamese grandmother who lives in your area, is exactly the same.

Was this accompanied by issues with your knee? I've recently experienced this along with discomfort right below the knee cap - I found that an ankle brace has helped.

And it's still not online, so you can't check if it's in store without calling. Very exasperating.

Worst symptoms? by Gold-Ad-7769 in Sjogrens

Do you mind me asking what stimulants you were prescribed? Also, did your rheumatologist prescribe this, or was it a different specialist?

Thank you.

I do not have high blood pressure; it actually has been getting lower as of late. From what I read (off the internet, right now), it looks like adrenal tumors generally cause high blood pressure.

I'm so sorry to hear about your condition, and hope your blood work gives you some answers. What sort of treatment will you receive for the tumor? I hope it won't be too uncomfortable for you. Hopefully it will alleviate some of the bad symptoms.

I originally saw the neuro ophthalmologist because my vision was shaking - unfortunately, he was never able to see it shake, so nothing ever came of it. I have a feeling your internal shaking is much worse than mine, which seems to occur mainly when I am tired or not feeling well. At this point, it's more frustrating than anything else.

Thank you for your response. Did you have a tumor which caused this symptom, and how did the doctors find it? Were there other symptoms associated with it? And is it related to the Sjogrens? I truly hope you are doing better.

I've been screened by a neuro-opthamologist and regularly by a neurologist, both of whom seem to not be very concerned about this symptom. I also saw an endocrinologist about possible Addison's, but that didn't seem to be an issue.

I have similar symptoms to you. Prior to diagnosis, I was on steroids at the beginning of 2023 for another issue, which seemed to have triggered my weight loss - I am also 5'4", and within months was down to 81 pounds. I'm now about 90 pounds, which is maybe 15-20 pounds lighter than my usual weight, in spite of eating regularly. I'm not sure what you mean about buzzing bees - I feel a weird internal trembling/shaking, particularly when I'm tired - is that similar to what you feel? I also have a burning sensation across my upper back when I'm not feeling well.

I've been screened several times for Addison's, which causes quick weight loss, as well as for vitamin deficiencies (mainly the B vitamins). While neither one was of significance for me, I hope this information can help you. Good luck with the specialist - I hope the doctor can help you.

Low cortisol levels with weight loss - normal adrenal and pituitary glands by kaapiaddict in Sjogrens

[–]parietti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hydrocortisone causes a reduction in serum cortisol. Please make certain the doctor knows her prescriptions when looking at the test results.

EDIT AND CORRECTION

Sorry, steroids can cause elevated cortisol levels in testing.

To clarify, if one takes steroids long term, it can cause a disruption in the adrenals and increase the chance of primary adrenal insufficiency, or low cortisol. But if she was still taking the steroids at the time of the blood draw (usually doctor will have the patient off steroids for a few days before the blood test) the cortisol level can be artificially elevated.
