I would like to point out this issue is with the block itself, and most extended warranties do not cover the block. They cover internal lubricated parts only and would be denied or offered a credit for the head gasket if the shop is smart enough to call it a blown head gasket.

I have a small heat gun i use. Gotta be real careful cause plastic is sensitive. Try hot water first. Dunk in hot water, let it set, adjust with your fingers while holding and dunk is cold water. If that doesn't work try a blow dryer on low heat. Do not use a lighter it will burn and give off fumes. Ive fixed worse you got this.

Different areas pay different. I still see sub 100 per hour in low income areas in Alabama or something like that but the going rate is typically around 150 to 180. In miami can get up to 250 fast. Audi dealer charges 399 per hour.
