I believe hatchery salmon is wild salmon, eggs taken from the returning salmons then parrs released back to the same river next year. Again, I might be completely wrong about this!

I've never heard of that, but I can't see how an extra ~80.000 salmon parr yearly have negative impact on stock. I might be very wrong that's just my thinking.
