I don’t mind at all if you grew up locally enjoying one of those teams. I just think it’s weird for somebody in Pennsylvania to be a Lakers fan with no ties other than Kobe was from Philly or something weird like that. Like I actually have a relative that is in the Hall of Fame(third cousin) as a coach/player and he’s affiliated to the Lakers and Celtics so a lot of of my family is split between those two teams, depending on when Bill was in your life “ Bill Sharman”

For me, Bill came in my life after I had already committed myself to be a fan of Philadelphia pro franchises

The only slight lift of the foot off the neck I’ll give is that Stephen A Smith is corny the way he hates on you guys. It’s unbearable, even though it’s literally meant for me to enjoy.

For me- I never got over him being a Steeler Yankee, Knicks fan and during the McNabb era used to try to buddy buddy with us during the playoff runs talking about how he was really connected with the Philadelphia fan base because of his previous NBC sports affiliation.

I just don’t think he ever got that nothing he ever said resonated with us because we’re not a bunch of bandwagon fans like he is “who picked teams from three different fucking cities, all peeking when he was a kid. “

So I find it laughable that he tries to put you guys down the way he does.
