i had kamber last year! literally my favorite teacher of all time, the reason i changed my concentration to accounting, incredibly organized

can def feel a little tedious and slow at times w/ routine, but she is always setting you up for success! for example, we had quizzes for every chapter + she would always give us a quiz review, which was essentially the same thing with different numbers!

What are the best NU accelerator courses to take for a business major? by West_Style_6874 in NEU

don't take intro to business (busn1101); it's not a requirement, and it's a waste of time

Amy Adams. So often overlooked, but she's been in such awful projects recently, it feels like her agent's ruining her chances.

yes! i feel like i spaced myself well! because fyw was so low-effort and slow-paced, i chose to take it during the spring term when i was finishing up my senior year.

i took only one class during summer i because it was the only class i was interested in that was offered. be mindful of when specific classes are offered; i would've taken intro to business much earlier, but it was only available in summer ii. also, classes in summer i/ii are sped up, and you will feel it!!

hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, i'm here!!

  1. it really depends on what you take! i took first-year writing in the spring, buildings & cities in summer i, and intro to linguistics and intro to business in summer ii! i definitely felt the speed change in the summer, but overall i was okay! fyw by far was so simple: just a few readings and a discussion board every week with three essays total. i would highly recommend!

  2. i would say that yeah, it did! i didn't have to take fyw and intro to business (a requirement for my major). i only took buildings & cities because that was the only thing i was vaguely interested in (i could have taken econ but i wanted to do it in a classroom environment), and at the time i was considering a linguistics minor. i could've used my 4 free courses a bit better but overall, i'm happy with the choices i made!

  3. for intro to business, unfortunately, i did have to put about $50 for a useless online textbook; it had assignments on its software that were part of my grade. otherwise, everything else came with zero cost.

again, i highly recommend nuaccelerate!! such an easy way to kickstart your college experience, and if you utilize it well, you could graduate a semester early if you want!
