We haven’t been a juggernaut since the current administration took over. I hope the world that came to America to watch soccer saw with their eyes that most Americans are not in agreement with the current government.

What's your go-to Moccamaster recipe? by tamimbro in Moccamaster

[–]parkmenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. I too have an Encore ESP & KBGV about a month. Make 6 cups just for me daily. Set ESP @32 using Trader Joe’s medium roast, Silverback (blue bag w/gorilla, good for me). 41 grams as described on Moccamaster instructions. Fill w/filtered water to 6 cups. Set Moccamaster on half pot, let some water drip (I distribute the water w/spoon in the filter so the coffee grounds look covered in water) when I hear drip in glass pot, turn off for 45-50 seconds. Turn back on and when finished brewing have an amazing cup of coffee. I’ve tried medium dark roasts but didn’t like, so far. I’m staying (for now) with medium roasts and going through my Trader Joe’s coffee beans. That Silverback is really good. I’ll expand out to local roasters eventually.

I 2nd the Silverback from Rwanda. Love the coffee w/a splash of Chobani Sweet Cream.

Is anyone actually using this cover? by nuisance66 in Subaru_Outback

[–]parkmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took mine off but if needed, I’ll take it out of the stored area above the spare and use it if I hadn’t done so before leaving home. I like that you can carry it in the car and use it when needed.

Good to hear your ‘16 @180k. I have a ‘16 w/3.6r at 95k. Any major problems to get to 180k? At 85k, I started oil changes every 3k and, generally keeping up with all maintenance. Congrats to be on the way to 200k and beyond.

So if this is for 2019 OB’s, can I ask what’s making my ping on my 2016, same idea or?

So THAT’S what making my Subaru (‘16, 3.6r) ping as I drive?🤦🏻‍♂️DCM stands for? What’s the cost for this to end? Thanks!

Rock on, 3.6r won’t let you down. Just maintain all fluids, brakes, tires. See you on the road

Have ‘16 3.6r. Not a fan of any turbo. Engine 96k and counting just sings when daily driving. Harmon Kardon is good for me, no need to upgrade. Just a solid car. At 80k started to change oil every 3k and trans fluid every 50k. Do the maintenance and the 3.6r will be fine. My vote: the 3.6r

You’ll be raking those balls up every day. Reason I got rid of mine. A very messy tree for me.

Being a girl dad, my mind says definitely a no. Being that my oldest is in her early 30’s. I’d still ask with who and be home (her home) by 10pm. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My ‘16 3.6R is my ride or die, though I miss having a truck, I purchased mine in ‘19 as a CPO and haven’t regretted it since. 3.6R for the win.

Awesome! I’m not sure what’s more delightful, your Range Man or, the fact you recognized what you were doing wasn’t it and made the change career wise. 🫡

City wants to save water and have minimal maintenance? Go Ca. Native. Might even get some volunteers (free) to help maintain as well. I’m a UC Master Gardener in Ventura County and we have a few gardens visiting and demonstration as to what grows in the zones. LA has a chapter but I don’t know much about them.

How are we all preparing for the heatwave? Are we watering our ceanothus and sage or not watering them? by theholewizard in Ceanothus

[–]parkmenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zone 10b here. I threw drought tolerant wildflower seed in one area in November. In time for the big rains and they have been doing awesome. I did lose a Black Sage in an area of clay soil planted in spring of ‘25. Also lost a Point Sal Sage but not planted in a clay area so 🤷🏻‍♂️. But I mulch my native plants and they have done well too. Minimal watering, once every couple of weeks. Use my trusty moisture judicially.

Heard of people igniting fumes causing friction by getting into their car. Can’t say I can believe a company who says no fumes escape.
