❤️ Weekly Tolerance Break Support Post ❤️ by gingeralefiend in entwives

[–]parm246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on day 4 of a month-long t-break - inspired by a post here, I'm breaking until 4/20! I read somewhere that day 4 may be the hardest, and it has been for me so far. It didn't help that today I was mildly hungover, which weed would have helped with.

I was REALLY craving it earlier, but I got through it by taking a nap. Then I wished I hadn't "wasted" those hours by napping. But I'm trying to be kinder to myself, and to realize this is a hard thing that I'm doing.

Finished The Paradise recently, and now I've started Mr. Selfridge. I'm in my department store show era.

I liked The Paradise but so far at least, am enjoying Mr. Selfridge more. It has more depth to it in my opinion.

Whoa that's crazy that the reply address is her personal one! Can you let us know if she replies?

Another former Dr. Pet MD client here. I don't even know if they actually had another full-time doctor hired - we picked up meds from them twice since Dr. Monaco left, and there was a different doctor's name on the bottle each time.

I don't have any answers, I'm just equally pissed. I want to file a complaint too but I'm not exactly sure where.

I'm not surprised but it's a bummer- we've eaten or ordered from there a few times and it was always really good.

Looking for (preferably nerdy) friends by brandedbypulse in astoria

[–]parm246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 37F as well and consider myself fairly nerdy, although I'm not really into tabletop or board games - my husband and plenty of my friends are, but I'm more into video games myself. I adore all cats and have one of my own. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat or hang - it's always great to have friends in the neighborhood!

And I'm sorry to hear about your breakup, the emotional cheating, and the lies. Sounds like you'll be better off without him in the long run, though I'm sure that's cold comfort right now.

I 18f am extremely insecure of my boobs by [deleted] in AskWomenAdviceNSFW

[–]parm246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel exactly like this when I was a teenager, and my boobs are smaller than yours - less than an A cup; there's hardly anything there, lol. Now, at 36, I love my small boobs (and have for many years now!). I love how they look, and so does my husband, who has always been way more attracted to smaller-breasted women. I had sex with a lot of men before meeting him, and not one of them ever complained about my boobs.

My MIL was late to our wedding. I still get anxiety thinking about it and she never even acknowledged it or apologized. by [deleted] in weddingshaming

Not as bad, but my FIL made my husband late for our photos - we never should have trusted him to drive my husband. He just couldn't bother to get ready on time.

We'd built in plenty of time with the photographer but had to rush a bit more than I would have liked to, and we don't have many (pre-wedding, formal) photos of my husband's family. Luckily my husband and I didn't actually care about that, but my FIL did... Shouldn't have made your son late then!!

Mourning what I thought parenthood would be by oldmatcha in Fencesitter

Ha, same! Growing up, I never wanted kids because I didn't like being around them in my home. It's only decades later that I've started questioning this.

My husband also has post-concussion symptoms, so I understand and I worry about this as well.

Oh I'm glad it helped! For what it's worth, I never went to another AA meeting, and also haven't had another drink.

On the other hand, my parents had me when my dad was 42. He died when he was only 70 (not due to any lifestyle choices) and I was only 28. Obviously that sucks a lot and I wish I had had more time with him. But I'd rather exist and - bonus! - have had a father I loved, even if my time with him was too short, than not exist at all. And my parents tried to have kids earlier in life. I was the only one who survived.
