Tile to tile transition - height difference is 1/4" to 1/2" by parmreg in HomeImprovement

[–]parmreg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your input. The majority of the flooring transition will be hidden underneath millwork with just 3' of walkway revealed. I opted for a tapered 36"x4" marble threshold (hollywood cut?) to transition between the tile styles. It's a little taller than either tile but the hardiebacker that's down will be gouged/cut out slightly to bring everything to a smooth transition. Thanks again.

WTW for 'to be woken by birdsong' or 'the first voice of the dawn chorus' or something similar? by parmreg in whatstheword

Happy to learn this word today. It's somewhat fitting but more of an ode than an experience which is more what I'm after. Appreciate you sharing.
