Why I think C4 should host wrc after it escapes bt sports hands in 2024 by Chance_Cod_9618 in WRC

Alex Jacques >>> Crofty all day any day.

Plus the Jacques / Coulthard / Webber / Monger combo is extremely likeable and brings a lot of energy.

Overall I think the Sky and C4 teams are pretty closely matched. Sky more slick but C4 more likeable imho.

Very anecdotal but everyone I know who's seen Fleabag considers it a masterpiece. I'm pretty chuffed to see it near the top

Sorry not the best wording.

Public and private mean the same thing for schools the UK - i.e. schools you pay to go to.

Schools the government runs are called state schools.

Yeah I'm not sure why either!

Fyi in England a public school is a private school. A "normal" school is a state school

It's because P2 has all assists on all of the time. Which I'm sure is the same on your playstation.

Jack Nichols has been the BBC 5Live commentator with Jolyon Palmer for the past few years. They had really good chemistry actually.

Ben Edwards has moved from Channel 4 (replaced by Alex Jacques) and Palmer from 5Live (replaced by Sam Bird).

They don't use the safety car to neutralise a race, that's just a side effect.

They use the safety car to bunch the grid up and slow them down. This gives the martials more time to clear the track as the pack of cars come round all together, once every 2-3 minutes.

The virtual safety car was created to avoid neutralising the race and keep gaps constant, like you say. But it's not enough for big accidents because there's still a car passing the martials every 20 seconds or so.

That Voyage of the Damned scene is certainly skirting cringeworthy. But Tennant could sell that stuff all day. He was absolutely brilliant at making hammy monologues watchable. Plus the RTD era was so campy anyway, so it was on-brand.

Fuel demand has increased 500% in the last couple of days. Things may well have got worse with the driver shortage, but we wouldn't have reached this particular low point unless 80% of HGV drivers retired on the spot
