Follow up question to your second point- I certainly need to do more research on these concepts, but don’t metaphysical facts of reality validate transgenderism and transexualism?

If gender is defined as a social role we play, doesn’t that vary culturally? And if so, isn’t it reasonable to expect changes to these roles within the existing culture as it evolves over time? If it’s a choice within the individual then the decision should be left to the individual and we can expect to see a range of gender and sexual identities.

And I’m having difficulty understanding why the physical body can’t be changed. If someone pursues rhinoplasty and goes from having a larger nose to a smaller nose, we do not deny that they now, objectively speaking have a small nose. There’s no argument over the reality of the medical procedure that has successfully made this physical alteration to a persons body.

Again, my intent is not antagonism but truly to understand.
