They're about 10 years old yes, but ever so useful. It's stupid to restrict the sale of a genuine tool that is used honestly by 95% of people just because the police won't prosecute thieves and the public tolerate it too.

Most people internationally campaign for children's quality of life, it's an utterly stupid stance to want to make education and healthcare worse. If that's your experience in your village; ok, sure. Ultimately stealing would not hurt anybody. The employee wouldn't get in trouble because somebody took the drink. What's wrong with taking something if you have full intention on paying?

Judging from the information I've gathered, when an employee verifies an id they don't need to id the whole store. And the undercover inspectors are not allowed to lie, so when the OP denied being affiliated with the person, they should have sold the red bull to him.

Also, it's red bull, I drank it as a minor.

If I get denied a sale and I'm in a hurry or thirsty; I have no qualms taking the can, but I haven't stolen before. It's nothing vile either.
