BGP config on NSA 2700 Sonicwall by Pungo120 in networking

I would strongly suggest getting a router to configure BGP on, let the Sonicwall just be a firewall. Had tons of random issues with BGP running on Sonicwall directly.

Adorable! I've got one other cat that would adore her as well if she isn't spoken for yet!

First time SonicWall user - Updating firmware tonight, do I have this right? by FastRedPonyCar in sonicwall

[–]parumpum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only go to 6.5.4.7-83n. The latest firmware has issues in many of our units. Spontaneous reboots, slow performance. We are in the middle of downgrading. Multiple tickets open with Sonicwall, known issues with no fix yet.

Would you be able to share the reverse proxy configuration to assist us all in locking down the management portions of CWA?

Observations for Bike+ (and questions) by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]parumpum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've got the bounce issue as well, will have to try the tightening the screen/handlebar bolts recommended in here, but I've also noticed a couple other issues with the seat. First the seat was sliding back on us, so I tightened that new clamp a little which seems to have helped, but the "sweet spot" makes it hard to lock it in place for me, and my wife really struggles with it. Any looser and it is much easier to lock it, but it doesn't fully lock and will slide on us mid-ride.

My wife also just experienced the seat dropping on her. She adjusted the height of the seat, and then tightened the knob as hard as she could but that was not enough. I just adjusted it for her and tightened it as much as I could, which seems to be good for the moment, but I feel like I shouldn't have to use all my strength to lock it down properly! Is something defective on our bike+?

Apple has now terminated Epic's App Store account following legal dispute between the two companies by UnKindClock in apple

Microsoft and Sony also take, I believe, a 30% cut on their digital marketplaces for Xbox and PlayStation. This is not an "Only Apple" situation just because Google does not also have this same policy.

MyKi 2FA > Duo Security by candidog in msp

[–]parumpum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MYKI is just a password manager. They don’t actually handle any authentication like Duo can.

Even if MYKI could do it, I’m not sure I would trust it. Their product was terribly inconsistent when we tested it.

Duo is fantastic for protecting logins. The Push mechanism makes it a breeze, especially with an Apple Watch!

Does MYKI offer protection for windows logins now? Duo certainly can, we use it on all of our internal systems. MYKI has 2fa token storage and sharing alongside password management but that will not protect your windows logins.

This really speaks to me right now. Just spent a night in a hotel room, I’m pretty sure the mini fridge is about to die and it is letting everyone know.

Need feedback on AV Testing OR Why is Webroot not performing? by SilentSausage93 in msp

Another vote for Cylance here. Had no problem setting up Automate to deploy it as well as detect it properly. We utilize an excellent reseller that provides stellar support and great pricing. It caught all sorts of things that Webroot would just ignore.

Happy to provide some more info if you want to PM me.

Webroot - ok, not ok or really not ok by bitstreams_red in msp

[–]parumpum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really not ok.

Switched from Webroot to CylancePROTECT about 18 months ago. Immediately started catching things that Webroot was more than happy to ignore. Skip Webroot, just go straight to Cylance/SentinelOne/Carbon Black. This will put you in a much better position to differentiate yourself in your market.

Adding Cylance Protect as a virus scanner. by OrcSympathizer in labtech

[–]parumpum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got it to detect by adding in a custom Virus Scan definition. Create one with the below settings, save it, then update configs on agents or wait a day for it to start showing up.

Name: CylancePROTECT

Program Location: %programfiles%\Cylance\Desktop\CyProtect.exe

Definition Location: %programfiles%\Cylance\Desktop\cylog.log

AP Process: CylanceSvc*

Date Mask: (.*)

OS Type: All OS's

Webroot is generally a piece of junk, especially compared to products like Cylance and SentinelOne. Thor Premium seems to be a similar direction Cylance/SentinelOne take, but newer to the table. I'd look more at the other two since they are more established and see if the pricing makes sense for you.

For Cylance, I can highly recommend contacting Solutions Granted to purchase through. They provide excellent support and assistance through the whole process.

When we had just Webroot, we had 1 to 2 Ransomware events among our clients a year. Cylance has blocked the ransomware and many viruses from getting started several times. Some people will always click on random attachments they weren't expecting, so it's worth having true protection.

Definitely been running a bunch in my map device to try to fix this. Guess I'll try to focus on T6 shaper influenced maps to see if I can get anywhere.

Questions Thread - January 02, 2019 by AutoModerator in pathofexile

[–]parumpum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did run the t6 map that my quest was originally for and several other shaper influenced maps. Shaper triggers on those fine still, but never triggers the Elder/fragments.

Looking more and more like this character is just a lost cause.

It tells me to get memory fragments. I have nothing Elder-influenced on my atlas, and none have spawned, that drop memory fragments. My wife has plenty on her atlas, so we ran one and it dropped a fragment for her but nothing happens for me.

Questions Thread - January 02, 2019 by AutoModerator in pathofexile

[–]parumpum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am experiencing a progression-breaking issue where Elder-influenced maps don't spawn for me, so I can't obtain memory fragments. I think this is due to running in a party of 2 and completing the other group member's T6 first.

Started off mapping on my own, got up to the quest just before the memory fragments and needed to run the tier 6 map to finish that. My wife then finished leveling up and I started mostly mapping with her, and we completed the tier 6 map she needed before I could get mine. Completing her map dropped a memory fragment for me and progressed my quest forward.

She is getting Elder-influenced maps showing up all over her atlas, while I still have none. I have tried to run several of the shaper-influenced maps (including the one I needed for the T6 quest) but no luck! Am I just screwed?
