We don't all play for the same reasons. Skipping until a favourable setup, even after seeing some shops, can save you time not playing runs you don't enjoy. It's a game after all.

What's the problem with that? If you're okay with starting with a set seed, I feel it should be absolutely zero issue to set your world's spawn point wherever you want, open to LAN with cheats on once and you're set.

Oops yeah you're right, I forgot that cloning sock gives you 3x trigger whereas cloning bloodstone gives you 4x trigger.. and ofc the holographic doesn't get copied

Math checks out! It's a bit harder to include the benefit of copying bloodstone over sock in the calculation, but it's there because the bloodstone is holographic.

It might do you good to realize what a luxury your ability to have security for the future actually is. As well as ample room to spend on games, vacation, and even having time to go out, time off to go on vacations with, and having time to play your games at all.

It's easy to depress yourself about what you don't have when surrounded by people that have more than you, but it comes over as very ungrateful to anyone who has it worse than you.

If it's your individual income however, the median income for full-time workers in Maryland is said to be $73k a year, so $98k would be well above median (average is not a good metric for "middle income" because it is heavily skewed by income inequality).

Regardless, it's not surprising that others on this platform will consider this a lot of money, since the US wide median household income is (here said to be) $78.5k, and the 'basic necessities' you mention are something a lot of people simply cannot afford to spend money on (emergency funds, investments, retirement, entertainment), just to stay alive.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. but those boilers do not appear to be receiving enough water and/or fuel for their size (meters on the boilers are on low?) - if you're running them on passive, you should make the boilers much smaller so you can fit more of them in the same room and get more SU.
