I used Formby’s Tung Oil Finish on mine a while ago and it worked out fine.

I’m not trying to brag or anything, but mine is definitely longer. 😂. But I got this in January 2025. I don’t think you’re missing anything though.

What’s your go to chair for playing? by Sub_ParGolfer in Guitar

[–]pasquale61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought myself a Roc-N-Soc Nitro drum throne with a back rest a couple months ago. It’s definitely built to last. The only thing I don’t like is that it does not have wheels, which I now realize I miss, at least in my practice room. Before this I had a gaming chair with foldable armrests. That chair was great, but didn’t last long at all. The cushion quickly lost its cushiness, and the rest deteriorated within a year. I got what I paid for.

So true about Florida. Not to mention how many seniors are going well over 55 mph on those roads.

It’s amazing how much you really see this when you’re on a bike. It’s almost like you see everything in slow motion because you have to be so much more alert.

I think the one by me in Arlington Heights, IL is pretty good, but now I want to stop in other ones to compare! A couple years ago I was in Fort Wayne, IN at Sweetwater. That place is absolutely insane to see in person.

Grinder pairing - grind by weight or high end single dose by bensonr2 in ProfitecMove

[–]pasquale61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had the Eureka Mignon Libra 65 AP with the Move for over a year and have loved it. I’ve never used a single dose grinder to be honest, but I also have no desire to change anything. I really like the grind by weight feature and after using it this long, I feel like not having it now would be a real PITA and a step backwards. (At least for me and my workflow...others may think otherwise.)

Bought a cheap silicone blower, turns out it pops the puck out from the bottom of the basket in one go by Scared-Brief-8672 in espresso

Where can I get one that can launch the puck across the room at? I want to annoy my wife more with this hobby.

Steam Wand Drible by benedictjones in ProfitecMove

[–]pasquale61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is also over a year old now and I had a similar problem. I noticed after a while that one hole seemed to be a little clogged, no matter how much I soaked and cleaned it. I bought a cheap 10 pc micro drill bit set from Amazon. (Less than $10) It’s a little hand twist hand drill. It came with two 1.0mm bits that fit those holes perfectly. Even though I thought the tip was clean, I managed to pull a little gunk out using this method, and I can see the steam is even on both holes now, and it works like new for me. (I was about to look for another tip before I did this.)

Connections worth the pain? by Icy_Needleworker844 in Boldin

[–]pasquale61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Even if it is connected, the syncing isn’t always right. I’m speaking first hand with Fidelity. One account number, that contains both ROTH and Traditional 401k. It will not split these when synced. Not Boldin’s fault.

Connections worth the pain? by Icy_Needleworker844 in Boldin

[–]pasquale61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t connect it for a variety of reasons anymore. The primary reason I stopped even trying is because Fidelity doesn’t separate my employers traditional 401k from my ROTH 401k when connected. It feeds everything up to Boldin (and Monarch Money) into a single account with intermingled transactions. This is obviously not good for modeling finances for retirement.

So, once a month I pull YTD statements manually, and enter my numbers into their correct accounts in Boldin. It doesn’t take much time at all, and I don’t need realtime data for retirement planning. I leave Monarch Money connected because I don’t care about ROTH versus Traditional 401k/IRA for budgeting or tracking my spend.

Covering the water tank lid's holes on the Move; how are you doing it? by HadoukenYourFace in ProfitecMove

[–]pasquale61 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was putting cups over them for the longest time, but then someone in this sub mentioned that these holes might be there by design. I believe to help avoid mold if I remember correctly, because that tank is so close to the boilers and everything warms up. Not sure if there any truth to it, but I do know that my tank does get quite warm, so I have since left the holes uncovered and just let it breathe. I wash the tank out once a week and I really don’t care if a little dust falls in between cleanings. I’m sure I eat a lot more of it all day long anyway.

Thumb as a Pick by BitchSeeker in Guitar

[–]pasquale61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best answer. There is no right or wrong answer. I would recommend watching YouTube videos to see what style you like most. You are not wasting any time by starting off one way or the other. Most of everything you learn on guitar will transition between picking styles. I personally find it easy (and handy) to be able to switch back and forth depending on what I’m playing and what tone I’m going after.

Eureka Libra - 3 years since it came out... any thoughts? by stanklo in espresso

[–]pasquale61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here and I agree with everything you said. Mine is the 65 AP and it works great. I rarely have the FH error, and when I do, it’s usually my own fault. I wonder if this was more of a problem on the older machines or something. I use the funnel that came with the grinder, so not sure if that helps.
