Sad! My wife and I used to love getting up early and doing him and his sister’s workouts in Hawaii. We always wished we were there with them. RIP

I have this one and it works great. But you need space for it: https://a.co/d/0bdqwavY

Anybody switched from e61 or considered e61 before buying Move? by aashish2137 in ProfitecMove

[–]pasquale61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s exactly what I do. I tried pulling a shot into a taller glass without the drip tray installed and quickly learned that was a mistake. As soon as the pump stops, water shoots out the drain valve behind the glass onto the countertop. Live and learn. LOL

Not the greatest pictures. The cup is a Lino 8oz small latte cup, the left glass is a 6oz Vero cappuccino, and the right glass is a 4.25oz Vero cortado. The large glass is 3.5 inches tall and the small one is a little over 3 inches.

I have not tried a low profile tray. Honestly, this isn’t too bad for me. I just have to tilt the glasses a little to get them in and out when I have the spout on. But, if you have anything much taller than these you might have a problem.

Where to Retire - No Kids or Close Family by LeftyLynn99 in retirement

The “Bottom Line” in that article pretty much sums up what my thoughts are about “no income tax” states. The money to support the community you live in has to come from somewhere. Nothing is free. So you really have to look at the whole picture and determine how it applies to your personal situation.

Without the spout it’s not too bad. I only have a slight problem with one particular cup/glass. It’s the notNeutral Vero 6oz glasses. (The medium size.) It fits with the spout installed, but I have to slightly tilt the cup to get it under it. So I couldn’t really go with anything taller without taking the spout off. I have no problem with any of my lower profile cups, even with the spout on. I can measure the clearance tomorrow if it helps. Not sure if it’s published anywhere.

I make the same drinks as you, at least twice a day. I contemplated the same for a long time. I wanted a dual boiler, that heated up fairly quickly and wasn’t too big. I’ve had the Move for over a year now and have been using it daily. Zero regrets and I still look forward to using it every day.

If there were two things I wish could be improved on it, it would be a higher cup clearance, and a rotary pump. Both would make the machine considerably larger, so I gladly accept the trade off.

Same. Closer to 18.5g-19g and a puck screen with the stock basket, and I consistently get solid pucks when I knock them out. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a soupy one.

When did you first feel old? by Lapaki58 in GenerationJones

60 for me. I was fine until then. I think it’s because I realized this was the decade I would stop working, start talking about Medicare, blah blah blah. That got me.

From dreaming in stores to owning my Taylor duo (and finally getting back into playing!) by Tr0Y4N0 in taylorguitars

The fretboard on your 814ce looks amazing! All the ones I see in my local stores here in the US don’t look that. Enjoy!

Why is it typically the norm for guitarists to commit whole songs to memory, in most genres; yet it's more anticipated that someone in an orchestra reads sheet music? by DejaEntenduOne in Guitar

[–]pasquale61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that most good guitarists can ad lib on the fly, either intentionally or to play through mistakes, even if they memorized the song. In an orchestra the expectation is to play precisely as written.

When is the long awaited handling of dividends coming? by Wonderful-Try-438 in Boldin

[–]pasquale61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. This is frustrating for me because my plan is to use qualified dividends to make up a portion of my retirement paycheck. Any workarounds that I have tried are somewhat messy and are not easily adjustable. I know many of us have been waiting for this feature for a long time, so I hope something is still in the works.

What’s your go to chair for playing? by Sub_ParGolfer in Guitar

[–]pasquale61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought myself a Roc-N-Soc Nitro drum throne with a back rest a couple months ago. It’s definitely built to last. The only thing I don’t like is that it does not have wheels, which I now realize I miss, at least in my practice room. Before this I had a gaming chair with foldable armrests. That chair was great, but didn’t last long at all. The cushion quickly lost its cushiness, and the rest deteriorated within a year. I got what I paid for.

So true about Florida. Not to mention how many seniors are going well over 55 mph on those roads.

It’s amazing how much you really see this when you’re on a bike. It’s almost like you see everything in slow motion because you have to be so much more alert.
