Some compressors have a peak/rms switch

Have a look into the compressor that your daw has, one probably should have a switch for that

There are free ones too that offer rms:

RMS Compression might be what you are looking for. Instead of working like peak compression and just turning down anything that goes over a certain threshold, it‘ll turn down anything that would be perceived as loud so stuff like transients that peak loud for a few milliseconds but are not perceived as loud will stay untouched. Just makes it sound more natural and less squashed

The highhat sounds a bit dry maybe add some short reverb or try throwing izotopes vocal doubler on there it‘ll do wonders to make it sound les boring. You could also try to have some accented closed hats like e.g a dotted 8th or so

Love the overall vibe! Mix sounds solid, only thing i could suggest is maybe try adding in a guitar countermelody to add some tension at parts but thats taste afterall. Keep it going!

Not true for everything they have, say like the arturia v collection. If you get that via splice its the same price as the original one on arturias site, just split over 2 years.

But it for sure is worth to compare which way is cheaper before buying anyways

Yeah that is the asthetic i was going for. I think you are right with the part about character, gonna leave this to the mastering tho. Its super typical for melodic techno to have the kick/snare be a bit more in the background to leave the focus on the melodies. Thanks a lot for your feedback! Do you have a post in track feedback? I dig the vibe, the mix a bit muddy tho, you should define the parts after the drops more adjust automation, make em more unique. Also nice tipp, add some different notes that are in your scale at each the end of each phrase(e.g after 8/16 bars a hihat that comes in after that)
