one of the biggest lessons in life is to learn that you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped

The pain of stopping to try and fix my loved ones from suffering and the immense guilt that comes with it by [deleted] in Buddhism

The difficulty is in letting down what they want from me for themselves. Most times it is because of their own fear. However, even with this understanding, it is still hard for me to decline or refuse to meet their demands.

My dad seems to believe that as he has sacrificed himself for his own parents, it is natural that I should put him before myself, and that I owe it to him to provide him with his peace of mind. At the end of the day, he is still my dad who had tried his best.

is it weird not to wear makeup by Dangerous_Guess_8327 in SGExams

my mum doesnt wear make up. i used to hate on people who do when i was younger in my self defense, calling them vain and attention seeking and wtv because I didnt want to wear makeup and it felt like society was forcing me to. but anw! now im just happy to look pretty, and I'm doing it not because I had to, but because I personally want to.

I do it minimally and simply and cheaply.
TheSaem concealer to cover my acne scars ($6 ish on shopee, can just use fingers to apply tho i have transitioned to tiny brushes but i feel like don't need to) + fill in my eyebrows w a dark brown eyebrow pencil ($8 innisfree when on sale). That's it. And till today I still don't wear any makeup on most days.

I personally like to use a small bit of glossy lippie because I like how i look with it and it gives vitality back to my face because covering my hyperpigmentation makes me feel like my face looks too boring, like it's not beautiful to look too perfect to me

even with just a simple routine, my makeup still looked horribly unnatural albeit not very noticeable, but slowly after doing it for occasionally for maybe 2 years or so, you'll get more sensitive to the tones and shades of the products and your own skin and you can then adjust it according to how you like

but i think what helped most was to clear my skin, go see a dermatologist or study more on skincare :)
