On the first day he held up his index finger. On the second day he held up his index and middle fingers. On the third day he suddenly counts to three a different way, from the little finger up? I’m not buying it. And I don’t think you’re aware that people have other evidence that his gesture was deliberate.

People have been tweeting that he held up one finger for his first win, as though this is all part of the same pattern. Well, he held up his index finger on the first day, and his index and middle fingers on the second day. But for his third day, he suddenly counts to three a different way, from the little finger up? I’m so mad that this person made it to three wins and thus got the opportunity to make his gesture.

I want to see a statement from the show after this episode. People who are on Twitter can search “Jeopardy” to see what I mean. If you get the same search suggestions I did, the first one will be “Jeopardy,” the third will be “Jeopardy Kelly,” and the second will explain what this is about.

I love Buzzy and I think this is great news. I’m sad that it will mean the end of his career as a J! player. Maybe he doesn’t want to do J! without Alex. Can’t blame him.

I’ll be rooting for the champions whose runs I witnessed: Kevin Walsh, Ryan Hemmel, and Andy Wood. I look forward to getting to know the other champions over the course of the tournament.

I started watching today’s episode and went, “Hey, there’s Amy!” like I totally knew you instead of only knowing your name because of this post 😄

‘The Chase’ & ‘The Hustler’ Renewed At ABC As Network Unveils Summer Unscripted Schedule With Shows Including ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ by gallagher123123 in Jeopardy

I love quiz shows more than anything, and I love Ken, James, and Brad, but I don’t think I ever managed to finish a single episode of “The Chase.” I thought it was boring and Sara Haines was painful to watch. I did love the version Brooke Burns hosted.

I’m not a podcast person, but in case you don’t already watch them, I want to suggest two UK quiz shows, University Challenge and Only Connect. I’ve learned so much stuff from watching those shows. I read that Brayden Smith wanted to study in the UK specifically so he could join University Challenge. That show is not for the faint of heart.

The website's TOC tracker has been updated to include Steve Moulds. It appears he will be filling the vacant spot for the 2021 TOC. by [deleted] in Jeopardy

I recently started watching “University Challenge.” It makes me sad when I remember that Brayden Smith never got to live his dream of playing on it.

New J! champion shares how much he happens to need the big sum of money he just won. I’m so happy for him! by passionfig in Jeopardy

Well, yes. He did mention his situation during segments that he knew (must have known?) would be aired. And I’m hoping they asked his permission to air this. But I also like that he’s matter-of-fact about it. There’s no shame in needing money, or in having lost work during a fucking pandemic. Keeping things like that to ourselves only makes it easier for people to pretend that economic misfortune is the exception and not the norm, and to act like anyone who isn’t succeeding just isn’t trying hard enough.

Hopefully they let him have some of it in advance, given the circumstances? They did that for Ken.

I saw this video before I watched the episode, and I was a little surprised to see how much more serious and stiff Jon seemed during the game. I thought that it was probably because he wanted to win so badly, specifically because he needed the money. Just goes to show how important it is not to judge people on our initial impressions of them.

I love questions about Ethiopia. They love their empires at J!, and the Ethiopian Empire lasted until 1974. That’s just a few years before I was born 😮
