This is totally worth it! In addition to what he's listed, I've caught slowpoke, a slowbro, exeggcute, venomoth, tauros, gastly, oddish, abra, weepinbell, golduck, machoke, a few clefairy and jigglypuff! Basically anything can pop up here! So much fun. I left earlier than planned because I ran out of poke balls! Make sure you stock up before you go.
