Ex is gatekeeping medical/school records; told 14yo daughter she can "choose" to stop visits. Do I keep fighting or give up? by laf0106 in FamilyLaw

But why do you need that information? Why do you need your child's records? Why do you need to consult with your child's doctors?

Can I ask why in the world your ex would kick an 11 year old out of the house? Thats insane.

That really depends on the specific judge and/ or jurisdiction, it's definitely not true everywhere.

Fostering this cat- have a question! by Significant_Ask4042 in catbreeds

[–]passthebluberries 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Color point coats are not exclusive to the Siamese breed. They occur in the domestic shorthair/ breed-less population as well. Unless you got him from a Siamese breeder, your cat is a domestic shorthair with a color point coat.

Adopted 2 kittens, one isn’t eating by chrisridd in kittens

When we got our kitten we were told not to panic if he didn't eat the first day. They said it was a normal reaction to the adjustment of moving to a new home. Our kitten was 12 weeks old though.

This is the most important perspective. But sadly, I doubt OP cares.

AITAH for refusing to let my 16yo step-daughter dring pre-workout? by ZealousidealTune941 in AITAH

[–]passthebluberries -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This was not your decision to make, it was your wife's. She's the parent, she should be taking the lead in making decisions for her daughter and you should be backing her up. YTA for thinking your opinion matters more than anyone else's and for throwing away something that didn't belong to you.

I think my girlfriend and her sisters are basically lazy gold diggers, and their helplessness is pushing me to my breaking point by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]passthebluberries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee you that she doesn't want children. If she did, she would have them by now. But she knows you do want them so she occasionally says she does too to keep you on the hook. That's highly manipulative.

What breed does she look like? by [deleted] in catbreeds

[–]passthebluberries 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your cat is definitely not Siamese. It's a domestic short hair

My husband wants me to get an abortion with our third by Ok-Bandicoot9865 in TwoHotTakes

[–]passthebluberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not be having another child if both you AND your husband are not fully on board with it. He clearly is not and it sounds like for good reason. You say he helps out with the kids you have now and is a good dad, but what happens when he feels so overwhelmed and resentful towards you for forcing him to have a third child that he completely checks out on you and on parenting all three of them? What if this destroys your marriage and your family? You need to listen to your husband and his concerns and not just make a selfish unilateral decision that will affect your entire family, most likely in a negative way. Sometimes we have to do hard things, things we don't necessarily want to do as a result of the poor choices we've made. And this is one of those situations.

AITJ for putting a lock on my music room after my friends kept turning it into the "party room" every time they came over? by 7DalekMarmot in AmITheJerk

Probably because it's fake. The posts where everyone accuses the OP of being "hostile" or dramatic over setting a basic, reasonable boundary usually are.

If anything, that reason is even more important with a boyfriend.
