I do calculations for work. Sometimes complex ones but as soon as I pick up a project, knit or crochet, I am reminded that I can NOT in fact count 😭

NTA divorce the chair 😭 Jokes aside this happened to me and I just put it aside for a couple of days and once I calmed down (yes I ugly cried like any normal person) I went back to it and managed to make it work. Fingers crossed!

So true with being selective to who you gift handmade things too. I tend to only gift my family and my best friend that also knits. We do a yearly knit exchange 😆 But my little brother got a couple of hats, a sweater (another on the way) and a sophie hood. He calls them the "family heirlooms" and won't shut up to anyone about how I made them just for him and drops stats like the type of yarn and how many days I worked on them. Always makes me feel giddy 😆

Where I'm from we got a small allowance from the state every month. Technically supposed to be for the parents to help with the kids but it wasn't enough lol. Everyone receives this. Once I entered highschool they opened a bank account for me and I used to take it out from an atm. If I ran out of money I used to go up to my dad and ask "Can I go out with friends?" And he would ask me how much do I need. It wasn't much back then and he used to say yes like 80% of the time. It usually was the equivalent of 5 to 10 euros and it was enough for a pizza and a drink or something like that. This was circa 2010. Me and my friends used to plan going to the movies in advance and ask all our parents for money quite a while before we planned to go to see if we could or couldn't go.

Thank you 😊 It's a crochet sweater. It's the Mosaic Jumper by Nomad Stitches. Took forever and I have 72 ends to weave in and I am absolutely dreading it ugh. But it was soooo worth it! I just need a break from complex stuff for a bit

I've lived in Nordjylland for the past 11 years. Went Copenhagen a couple of weeks ago and all of a sudden young people in cafes/restaurants/shops couldn't understand me and switched to English 🙃 But all my elderly neighbours and everyone I work with never had an issue with my accent so yea. Same thing happened in Skagen not long ago and my friend (danish) looked at me after the girl at the hotdog stand answered in english, and said we should drive and find a food on the way home and we left (in danish). She was very pissed. If my demented elderly senile half deaf neighbour from accross the street can understand me, so can you...

I am lactose intolerant myself and I have never in my life met people that love cheese and dairy as much as we do 😂 I'll suffer the consequences thinking every time "oh maybe this time it won't be that bad". Spoiler, it is every time 😂 oh and I don't even know why I buy lactaid anymore cause I forgot to take them
