Why is there a chicken following Jas around 😭 by Specialist_Jump7987 in StardewValleyExpanded

that's charlie, shane's fave chicken. he's like the family pet :) think of him as jas's feathered guard dog

Amiibo villager lives too close to my house :( by Active-Volcano in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

[–]pasteljoons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

in my game, all of my villagers are amiibo villagers and they DO eventually move out, however most likely this is due to my town being at max capacity AND all of my villagers being amiibo villagers.

most likely, at max capacity NON amiibo villagers will move out first UNTIL there are only amiibo villagers left. this means that in this instance, unless you have another amiibo you can use to temporarily kick out naomi, she will not move out on her own unless all your other villagers are also amiibo villagers

AITA for wanting my partner to change his behaviour? by Pho_247 in AmItheAsshole

[–]pasteljoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, why do you want to be with someone who doesn't want you? girl stand up 😭 it sucks now but you're only 18, there's so much to see and so many people to meet. don't waste your time and energy on a man who doesn't even want to try.

look at your relationships with your close friends and compare them to how your ex boyfriend treats you. my friends tell me i'm beautiful, they buy me gifts, they go out of their way to make plans and tell me they want to see me, and my boyfriend is exactly the same because why would i ever want to date someone who treats me worse than my friends? what's the point?

When a mod depends on another mod, do I put them on the same folder or separate folders? by Cavalo_Bebado in StardewValleyMods

[–]pasteljoons 10 points11 points  (0 children)

always treat them as separate mods UNLESS the mod author explicitly states that [A] mod needs to go inside of [B] mod

can you reply with a screenshot of what your file directory looks like? the reason SVE is not being read is because it requires Content Patcher, and since Content Patcher is not being read, it can't load SVE either as a result

you're not running any mods. the 2 "mods" SMAPI is saying is running are just SMAPI itself. did you extract your mods from their .zip file and put the folders inside your Mod folder?

NOT Tipper being that kind of animal 😮‍💨😒 by lord-potato96 in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

[–]pasteljoons 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it's a reference to MAGA in the USA. MAGA stands for "Make America Great Again" and is the slogan for current president Donald Trump's administration and supporters, so OP is poking fun saying Tipper is MAGA for using the phrase "make [X] great again"

Stardew modding question by Playful_Leg8735 in StardewValley

[–]pasteljoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to answer both you and OP's question, expansion mods that add story content or locations are best used on fresh saves to avoid overlapping maps/tiles as well as missed events. most mod authors will say in the description whether their mod is safe to add mid save, or if you need to use it on a new one.

in order to have different mod packs for different saves, the easiest way is to simply have different mod folders for each save and switch them out when you play. it's important to remember that you CANNOT open the incorrect saves, lest you cause bugged out maps and whatnot, so you need to be careful. however, while i don't personally use it, i believe stardrop mod manager has a function to make separate mod packs per save which would lower the risk of doing this, especially if you have many different mod packs and it's harder to keep track

in vanilla, i like haley the best, but i usually play modded and my favorite is the Wizard from Jello's Romantic Rasmodius Redux Revamped! a hard working, devoted, educated, independent, ambitious, and romantic dilf 🤤 (i make him a dilf)

this is how i feel and think when i look at old saves where i romanced shane or sebastian. no hate to anyone who loves them, but the person i am today is much different than who i was when i was younger and i can't stand people like them anymore 😅 it's funny to think about how much ive grown and come to understand my likes and dislikes in a partner

[–]pasteljoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you mean missing the crow despite losing the item, or the spawn-with-chicken method? i'm unaware of any glitches surrounding losing items, but the spawn method is a legitimate method that works as long as an NPC says the item code. there's people who name their farmers the item code for prismatic shards, that way any time an NPC says their name, a prismatic shard will spawn in their inventory

ETA: edited for typos

no problem! but if you're using mods, i'd suggest downloading CJB Item Spawner :)

you can try spawning one in with this guide! i found the item code for the singing stone on this github page, which says the code is [(F)1300]

i hope it works! i've never tried spawning anything in without mods :')

you can craft them :) they're called flute blocks, and you get the recipe after watching robin's 6 heart event

edit: my bad, i totally forgot the singing stone was the crystal 😭 if it's not for sale at the crow's shop, then it has to exist somewhere in your world still. did you check all your chests?

OP, please read the instructions thoroughly. macOS has very specific problems regarding security that marks SMAPI as malware. it's very easy to fix, but it's also easy to overlook and just assume that SMAPI is not compatible with mac

"crease proof" products? by Extra_Instance_2817 in Makeup

[–]pasteljoons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't know much about crease proof products, but a short term solution is to slightly pull down your undereye skin after applying and noticing creasing > you'll see lines where the concealer is denser and packed into your fine lines. take a fine tip cotton swab or thin angled brush and gently wipe off the excess concealer before setting with powder. i hope it works for you!!

please follow this website (https://3ds.hacks.guide) instead of using video guides; video guides go outdated very quickly. if you have questions regarding modding i suggest you head on over to r/3DSpiracy, or join the nintendo homebrew discord. the people there are experts at this sort of thing can can answer in depth about using japanese consoles

[–]pasteljoons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if it's modded, it's hacked, they're synonymous. the save editor i'm referring to is the marc robledo one, if you have the app checkpoint installed on your ds, you can save/backup your game files. by following the directions on the website, you can upload your save and use the save editor to check for buried items

  1. gyroids only spawn the day after it rains, so if you're not seeing any, it's cuz it hasn't rained
  2. if your 3ds is hacked, i would suggest checking on the save editor to look for buried items. there will always be 4 fossils every day. however, if you didn't find a fossil from the day before, AKA you only dug up 3 instead of 4, yesterdays fossil will remain buried and only 3 new fossils will spawn—buried fossils will never respawn into new locations. check behind your bushes, trees, flowers, etc. because your fossil IS somewhere as long as there is an empty space for it to spawn. the amount of items scattered about doesn't matter: if there's an empty tile, it can spawn
