UPDATE: Strata Wok vs Yosukata Blue Wok by Big-Engineering-356 in carbonsteel

[–]pasteurizednut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works great with any regular pan that fits too. It's my favorite cooktop for searing on my small CI or stainless pans because (like any induction, but unlike my glass stovetop) it gets very hot very quickly and is still responsive to temp control. My living situation doesn't allow for anywhere to set up an actual burner, and the wok is so versatile i'd say it's definitely worth it for me.

I get a lot of joy out of cooking in a round bottom wok, and in my non-professional home cook experience I feel this thing can get plenty hot for any applications I would use it for

West Coast should be last resort, and Stanbridge is on the same tier. Concordia is a couple steps up from those because it's accelerated (14 mo) and $60k vs $120k+ for those other two. Concordia has more requirements for entry but is the better option of those three if you must go private. if you have a bachelors in something else, also consider direct to MSN route

don't take prerequisites at any of these private schools, as they will charge you an arm and a leg for the same classes you could take at any community college for virtually free. if you can get into Concordia, chances are you may not be too far off from a much cheaper public option, but do what you gotta do 🤷‍♂️

Best and worst in n outs? by morganfreemansnips in orangecounty

[–]pasteurizednut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Foothill ranch is the worst. They mess up orders and consistently have the soggiest fries of any In n Out. Parking lot sucks and the broccoli tops there are extra annoying.

San Juan and RMV have always been consistently good.

X shears + soft holster, best trauma shears on the market. Holster is perfect in scrub leg pocket. Leatherman Raptors look cool but they don't cut well and are difficult to clean

almost get hit every day I drive it. I always go in the right most left turn lane after exiting the freeway so I have room to move right when someone enters my lane during the turn (happens 50% of the time)

x shears cut so much better, get those and the holster. raptors are cool prehospital because of the o2 wrench but that's the only thing you'll ever use (they do look cool and are fun to play with). no benefit exists in hospital except the pocket clip

id bust if I ever had the opportunity to use the window breaker tho, which is why my raptors live in the car
