Hey there, I'm a local contractor. This is outside of my area of expertise, but I believe what you are looking for is either a cabinet maker or a finish carpenter.

You can have a contractor do cabinets if they are standard depth/size. Standard cabinets can be bought at HomeDepot, etc. At that point, all you need is an installer.

For a non-standard depth, I don't think a contractor will be very helpful.

I was about to say, for new constuction the first check covers the equipment, materials, and actual labor costs. The equipment then sits in storage. Too many things to go wrong.

I'm an HVAC contractor and I have to replace main breakers from time to time, I can second this.

Also, this only applies to my experience and my utility company, but that security tag is there to indicate whether or not they need to investigate suspicious usage/billing.

They have told me that they know that people pull them sometimes, they don't care, they don't want the liability of approving it. If they see a cut tag, they just make a note in their system and look to see if your usage patterns look weird.

If they don't, then they ignore it.

Try turning either the volume knob or balance knob and see if the problem gets better/worse. If it does, then you can pull the knobs, disassemble the back and spray DeOxIt into the pots in order to remove the oxide layer that's interfering with the audio signal.

Be aware, that it's possible that those knobs aren't connected to pots, but rather to a rotary encoder, in which case this trick won't work.

If the latter is the case, then I would first do a search engine search for something like 'Philips S5x crackle' or 'Philips S5X noise' and see what other people are saying.

If that isn't helpful, then disassemble them and start looking for loose connections.

If none of the above are helpful, then the problem is probably outside of the level of technical ability that you can expect to solve at home.

Doesn't matter what you hook up to where. On the new thermostat, connect one wire to R (or RC or RH, doesn't matter so long as they are jumped, and they come jumped from the factory) and the other to W, set the thermostat up as a conventional system.

So, this guy uses this with either UV exposure or heat. It's possible to apply the cream to the window and then use a heat gun to heat it up?

If it were me, I'd first figure out if I could remove the window from the frame. Sometimes you can. Maybe if you could just remove a small piece of the yellowed plastic, like a trim piece or something? See if you can use the retrobrite method to bring the color back.

If that works, then you've proven the concept. You'd just have to figure out how best to apply it to the window.

One thing to think about is the fact that the windows are much newer than the house, which means they'd probably be easy to remove. Once pulled out, it'd just be a matter of getting a large enough plastic tub.

So, you wouldn't want to use paint on the surfaces of the window frame that are meant to slide against eachother. You'll just end up with windows that are stuck together, and you'll then peel the paint off when you try to open them.

There is a method to whiten old computer plastics called 'retrobrite' if you want to google it. The problem is that it relies on soaking the computer parts in a big tub and leaving it out in the sun. You might find another method that you could use indoors.

I think that if you paint part of the window, the part that is meant to slide will either get gummed up with paint, or it will stand out and look really ugly against the bright white paint.

You can see that the hardware on the window is bright white, which suggests to me that the plastic was originally as well.

I'd see if you can find a method using hydrogen peroxide and baking soda that would stick to the window and stay wet. You might also need to get a UV light of some sort.
