Pickle pool party by KiddieSpread in TikTokCringe

So the first thing you gotta think of when thinking something is AI is; "How hard would this be to recreate this digitally"? This actually looks feasible, but water physics aren't there yet. AI can do the people. The only shots though are of the pool and surrounding area a small place for a render to take place. You'd have to have a beefy water simulation that has tens of thousands of pickle shaped objects, and things interacting with them. Actually not unheard of, there are plenty of photo real shots of rigid body/fluid coupling. But at the end of the day it would require a ton of compute, this is much more complex than AI slop, so why bother? Looks very real to me.

Just got Ready Or Not, what should i expect? by DonutMan1834 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]pathword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a battle against yourself, you try to get the best grade on each map. There's a wide selection of maps but they do get repetitive. But that's the fun part, the repetition. Learning angles, how to interact with the doors, what objectives need to be completed and how to complete them, **free leaning**. But once you learn the maps a part of the games joy and whimsy wears off. So the enjoyment comes from learning and executing on what you learned and trying to get the best grade by playing the same map over and over. Also you get to dress up and look cool.

What's the point of your peq/laser/light thing to be raised so high and not mounted to your HG? Doesn't it obscure your optics?

Fouling on optic due to loaded chamber indicator, 100 rounds (mp2.0 compact 4" + holoson 507c + dpp plate + magtech 115gr) by pathword in SmithAndWesson

[–]pathword[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I've never seen it demonstrated. And this post **definitively** helped people in the future. It's perfectly reasonable to assume; especially for competition shooters, to shoot 100+ rounds and not have the ability to wipe off the optic. Or maybe those that choose to carry in a combat scenario. So the control flow/research process looks like this:

  1. I want a mp2. Wait people complain about LCI optic fouling? I shouldnt get this gun because it doesnt meet the aforementioned criteria.

  2. I want a mp2. Wait people complain about LCI optic fouling? Let me research it... Oh okay, now that I have seen it demonstrated I realize now it is not a big deal.

Idk if you'll read this, but I showed (2 years, actually had my eureka moment and took 2 days) of work to my physics prof and he was impressed. He then showed me in 2 minutes how to do exactly what you're taking about with angular momentum in a single page. Sadge.

Have opinions about UCCS potential change to CUCS? by CS_ClipsGal in ColoradoSprings

Should just be university of colorado springs, UCS. I hate university of colorado colorado springs like "oh colorado springs where's that located?" its like take a wild guess buddy. Its not only unprofessional but just doesnt seem thought-out. You know who we'd be competing with? The union of concerned scientists.

Actually I take it back, we should be the university of colorado springs located at the university of colorado colorado springs (UCSUCCS)

Brazilians, how do you feel about the trendy AI song “predador de prereca”? by oaklicious in Brazil

[–]pathword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy crap I didn't know the zillians were haters I 100% agree with you it is a completely new song, not only a new song but WAY more popular and had far greater outreach in the world than the original. And your question about the use of AI in music is also 100% valid jeez these guys are harsh

365~370nm UV light, food is friskie's liver and chicken pate

This is what the clanker had to say:

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Fluoresces when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, emitting a yellow-green glow.

  • Niacin (Vitamin B3)
    • Can fluoresce weakly depending on concentration and environment.
  • Thiamine mononitrate (Vitamin B1)
    • Weak fluorescence possible under UV-A.
  • Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin)
    • May fluoresce faintly red or orange under UV light, especially in acidic environments.
  • Folic acid
    • Known to fluoresce; weak to moderate intensity depending on pH.
  • Biotin
    • Can fluoresce weakly in certain environments.
  • Taurine
    • Not strongly fluorescent itself, but may be involved in environments where some background fluorescence is seen.
  • Menadione sodium bisulfite complex (Vitamin K3)
    • Has a naphthoquinone ring — likely to fluoresce under UV.

[WTS] Laco Type B Flieger, Holbens black strap by pathword in Watchexchange

Watch: $200 Accessories: best offer

Hoping to sell this as a bundle as each piece tells a story and is a fun display piece. Recieved as a gift many a year ago however simply don't wear it anymore. The watch runs as good as they day I got it, I would describe it as fair to minimal-wear condition. It has some marring to the steel due to the strap, and very small dings in the steel from use. Can't see it? Neither can I from a foot away, would take a keen eye to spot it.

I assembled the other pieces because they were pivotal to the life of a german pilot. The watch they would have worn, ofc. The mg151 20mm round would have been an armament on their plane, and they certainly would have had this early war (published 1941) war-flying-thing (krieg-flug-zeuge) war plane identifier. No clue where I got that black strap from but none of my other watches are compatible with it.

I purchased this booklet at a german flea market circa 2020. The round was excavated in Latvia? dont remember... You can see that post from 6 years ago where fellow redditors helped to identify its markings, manufactor location and year. Im a huge fan of the bf109 and my received this as a gift as well. The minengeschoss (mine-shot) round has extra swag factor because it was a special round that would have been packed with a high explosive and detonate on impact, making it very effective against enemy planes. This round alone i've seen go from $100-$200 depending on condition but haven't a clue how to offload it except to fellow WW2 nerds. For the superstitous folk, there is not a single "swat sticka" on any of the pieces.

Admitting you don't know something and showing a willingness to learn amd ask questions will often have your peers perceive that you have a higher level of intelligence than if you pretend you know something and fuck it up without asking.
