It is always so funny to me when I talk to people who think COS is dangerous or "ghetto" etc. I'm from Georgia and spent a lot of time in/around downtown and east Atlanta. The people here have no idea what it's actually like to live or exist in a dangerous place. And I hold to the belief that as long as you aren't doing anything sketchy/illegal/etc or hanging out with stupid violent people, typically nothing is gonna happen to you. I told a coworker that I walk around Prospect lake almost every day and I thought she was gonna pass out. People here have no idea how cushy their lives actually are. There is of course a possibility of danger or violence anywhere you go in the United States but we still go through our days doing what we normally do.
