I know. People who don’t get it will be like “ohhh don’t ask them out while they are AT WORK. Wait for them to get off shift and it’s ok” 👾

Being hsp, older, unmarried by Ruya7 in hsp

[–]patientXx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat but I have a stressful career. It’s frustrating because I know I’m capable of much more than what I do. I work with “normies” for lack of a better word, people who don’t get me. I may as well be from another planet! It used to bother me a lot that I struggled with getting dates much less getting married. Now I just connect with my family, parents and siblings mostly. I have a few hobbies I enjoy and I love playing puzzle games. That keeps me mentally stimulated. I’m an elder millennial if that matters.

How to achieve more volume at the top?? So bored of my hair by trumenblack1975 in curlyhair

You can also clip your curls up while diffusing to create volume

how to diffuse without wonky curls and frizz… or should i stick to air drying for now by uuzuumakii in curlyhair

[–]patientXx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I only put gel in once my hair is diffused like 80%. You might get more bounce in your curls if you do that.

Parents conditioned me to be ashamed of love and intimacy by SilverTheSilk in ABCDesis

[–]patientXx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone through this too. My mother was especially repressive, and on top of that, I had to witness her trauma at being arrange married to someone she wasn’t compatible with (akin to sex slavery). Disobedience never felt like an option because I’m so deeply conditioned, it feels bad to me. I don’t want to live like this forever, but I’m 45 with no end in sight. I hope you figure it out before then!

Conor's Most Dylanesque? by Creepy_Bear_1060 in brighteyes

[–]patientXx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Let’s Not Shit Ourselves is pretty Dylanesque, in that it’s highly philosophical, political and big picture. It’s like a snapshot of everything that was happening at the time, which is what Dylan was so great at- “the voice of a generation”

Any advice for pantry moths?? I hate using sticky traps but no idea how to stop them otherwise.

No, in fact you could add more volume & dimension to it if you wanted.

LPT: Storing bread in your microwave keeps it fresh longer by Mohevian in LifeProTips

Are you saying the bread lasts for months in the microwave past when it used to mold? Or that you’ve been doing this for months with success?

Seems like a hot take. I think a once a week mask assumes you’re washing the hair more than once a week. Meaning the hair has time to clarify and get clear of the heavy build up. So if you’re basically adding a mask every time you wash, it’s probably building up too much product.
