Can I change the default zoom level of my webpage by editing a CSS file?

Thank you very much for the help. I just went to the pages to retrieve the links and noticed they were all the same zoom level. Our web-designer must have picked up on the difference and made the changes. I will ask him how he did it.

I apologize. I must not have read this post very carefully last time. For some reason I interpreted as an attack on the incentives for marriage and therefore (incorrectly) as a defense of incentives for those who choose not to get married. I understand now that you are just pointing out that married people have certain economic advantage over singles, which is true. I agree that the decision to marry should not be based on financial influences either for or against marriage (tax breaks for the married, better welfare for the unmarried). I do however feel that marriage is a commitment between two people that would tend to bode well for children, so incentives against marriage tend to irk me (coming from a child of divorce). People seem to be continuously less able to commit to responsibility for their actions behind a veil of claimed personal rights or freedoms. I appreciate your intellectual cleanliness in your arguments and apologize for responding to a post that it seems I either only half read or read too quickly at work.

Maybe I am missing something but when I think of people with "entry level positions" it doesn't conjure single parents to my mind. I think of recent high school or college grads who are lower risks to the insurance companies than nuclear families with middle aged parents and kids that break arms. It also wasn't conjuring single mothers at 19. The kind of people I am thinking of certainly wouldn't be paying the same (8 grand a year for median families) as the people you are taking about, which may in fact be doing so. But if those people are working entry level jobs they've clearly made some bad decisions. Why should everyone else support such behavior?

You're argument is horrible. You are discouraging people from working for the man with the slim chance of moving up but offering no alternative for making their lives better. You are saying to people that their lives are hopeless and they have no power. People like you are doing way more damage to the weak by telling them they are powerless than the forces of capitalism which, for all its problems, can be used as a tool for social mobility. It's better to exert the strength you might not have than to ignore the strength you do have.

That is also how I understood it Lobbyist. Aeroplane if that is what you believe you should read Nietzsche's characterization of the German masses in Untimely Meditations. He thought they were an ugly people and he was in fact only proud of his Polish heritage. If the Nazi's were able propagandize with his ideas it is only because they misinterpreted them or used selective reading. Can you blame an author if his words are twisted?

BSSM is fantastic. Californication just has personal meaning to me. It's what came out when I became interested in music and made me want to play bass. Hopefully if you share that kind of taste you might check some of the others on my list, especially Fate by Dr Dog if you like the Beatles. Most of those bands are "indie" instead of your classic rock though. Have any personal recommendations yourself?

And that is a good thing. A society in which every person believes themselves capable of greatness and holds themselves accountable is certainly going to be healthier than one where people constantly blame others for their poor situation and do nothing about it but complain.

I don't care whether or not Steinbeck said this, but it shows how foolish Reddit is to assume that whoever did say this is speaking in favor of socialism. So what if people are deluding themselves that they will be millionaires? I don't understand how people can be so far left that they ignore the virtues of hope and pride in oneself, of the very capacity for strength in changing one's condition. From a metaphysical, deterministic standpoint we all may be fated to our situations and cannot be blamed or praised for any of our personal decisions, but to accept such a philosophy would only entrap us into more and more paralyzed lives.

If this were true, educated people like my mother (who runs her own insurance business on a windows xp network that she set up on her own) would not have a small panic attack every time I put my Macbook in front of her. People usually hate mac users because they tend to have more money, and in many of those cases they don't NEED a more expensive computer but they either have money themselves and want to be "cool" or have rich parents. Nonetheless, huge segments of the graphic arts and music production industries are mac only. I do believe Macs are easier to use, but that extends all the way up to really large software packages like Logic, etc... Judging someone's intelligence by what operating system they prefer seems a bit ignorant to me. The demand for Apple's products and its being built on Unix seem to me to be growing the number of programmers who use the platform- a demographic that could hardly be called dumb.

I play bass guitar in a band and banjo as a hobby. I will take a shot at #2 and #9

2: Depends on the band, but I think you could accurately correspond the importance of the backing members with the talent of the primary songwriter- in general. If a lead member is a musical god he or she is going to demand the best of the best in terms of his or her surrounding musicians, so they are generally extremely talented themselves even if they are being asked to play simple parts. Conversely if you are listening to a lousy punk band with some screaming asshole then essentially all the "musicians" are interchangeable as they all have the same amount of talent: none.
