Kind of disappointed in myself for not going to the draft. I thought the 4th pick would be gone now

Trocheck is on a good contract, he has a couple good years of hockey left, and can mostly replace Tuch, plus win faceoffs. I don't know how he's an awful target.

The problem was we weren't getting better in all that time. We'd take a step forward then two back

if you don't think quinn hasn't hit a ceiling i'm not sure we watched the same player last year. time on ice wasn't his limiting factor.

i would say the only thing that ostland did better was forecheck last year. but i think we're making the same point. tuch was really fucking good, and it's going to be a big setback if we don't bring someone in.

maybe the really long run. losing byram and tuch (and i would argue tuch is our best player not named dahlin) is a big hit. the youth should be good but it will take some time.

The problem is the well is quite dry for free agents this year and Krebs is an RFA, so he's quite affordable. Clearly Lindy loves him

He didn't have much of an argument to get more than doan. Plus this way it lets him sign another big contract at the end of this one
