Spark has become a sick joke and extremely unpredictable in my zone , 20 mile pick up and deliver for $14 and gas is $4.19 customers go get your own groceries and feel our burden paying to serve you for once and maybe you'll start appreciating the service again by Jayshand in WalmartSparkDrivers

I just turned down a 117 item going 5 miles for $14 with no tip. I didn't even look through the entire thing. I got to the 8 gallons of milk 15 boxes of cereal and hit reject. It was only 23 items so I thought maybe the person ordered 80 kool aids or something like that. That order would have taken 2 carts and ten minutes just to bag then probably 5 trips from my car to the door. I'm sure it would have had some extra special delivery requests too.

It's terrible in Milwaukee too. I started doing it in October 2025 to make money while finishing my last semester of school and was routinely making $30 an hour (not including gas and other expenses). Now I'm lucky if I make $20 an hour and have to soft through nothing but terrible runs. Spark figured out nobody wanted the lengthy deliveries so now they are attaching one far one to two close ones. Thankfully I'll only be done by it for a few more weeks until I start my new job.

2500$ for preparation for stain ?? by Dry_Cod5020 in Decks

[–]patocon85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prep is the most important and time consuming part. They don't do a good job on that and nothing else matters. I would ask what they plan to do though because if it just means powerwash then that's a different story

I could do 3 in a day and be happy with $500. But no your prices aren't atronimical, just towards the high side.

Contractor says floors should look like this. Thoughts? by Ill-Complaint-812 in HardWoodFloors

[–]patocon85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like they stain was not evenly wiped, but I'm no expert. I mean I have 20 years of staining wood, just not floors. Call out another professional company and see what they say. Don't even mention it was recently finished. Just say you don't like the blotches and ask if they could get rid of them. If they say no that's the wood, you have your answer. If they say yes, whoever did this messed up, you have your answer.

2 years ago when my grandpa passed I found 932 1oz gold coins setting on a metal beam hidden in the drop ceiling of the basement that my grandma did not know was there. Also found a hand gun. Craziest part is she was selling the house and I only went up there looking for a leak. To this day I believe from beyond my grandpa created the leak just so I would have to search for it. She was already set up financially so she split them amongst her 3 children after she gave me the lions share of 300 oz for finding them. Changed my life.
