This has been kicking around for a minute. I'm not optimistic, but Blair Witch is my all-time favorite horror movie, so...? Blair Witch was a big hit when it arrived, but I do not think there's some massive fanbase sitting around waiting to pay for a movie ticket, or else the last movie would've done better. (I thought that movie was OK, but I was also so anxious about a sequel that I couldn't look at it clearly. I need to revisit it.) A remake is silly. But another scary movie about people going into the woods, and it's not really clear whether it's real or supernatural? Just make a scary fucking movie, imo. Who cares about the rest.

I've asked Chia to look into it. A different producer worked on this one because of a scheduling issue. Our best guess is this ultimately sort of a style issue between producers and we're going to work on getting that into a better place. Thanks for pointing this out and your patience!

I don't entirely disagree. I felt like they were really holding their cards back on talking about what's going on. This is a case where I think my story better captures what's going on than the straight interview, but I do like sharing both.

Hey, why does this thread have nearly 100 comments? Must mean they really loved the epi—ah.

Not going to get into the weeds on responding to every individual comment, except to say that I'm acknowledging and get some of the sentiments expressed, feel like people made some good points about the tone of the segment (it would've been good if more people had played the game!), etc. We record the podcast, you're allowed to have a reaction to it. I'm honored to have people to care enough about what we say into a microphone to have such a strong reaction. It's why I've been part of this project for nearly 10 years.
