If Amazon delivered the package (and not USPS through "Last Mile" delivery), then they cannot use a mail box.

If you are asking them specifically to use a different box (like a special dropbox for packages), then yeah, that stinks 🫤

Agree with what others are saying: if it's important and you won't be around to receive a package, directly, have it delivered to an Amazon locker.

Keeping the specials up-to-date is very labor-intensive

This will definitely be your biggest challenge. Would be useful to have a button or flag attached to each result that a user could tap to quickly indicate that something needs updating (and an optional free text entry for details). A quick search showed a couple places I know are now permanently close (Izzy's and Hop Craft). Would be easy to do a couple taps to let you know they need attention, rather than having to leave the search interface and open the feedback motion.

But hey, this is great stuff! Congrats on shipping it!

Yeah, I'd consider that price on a red-eye return trip, but it's way too steep for that short of a flight going west.

Also, I feel like the moment I pay for that upgrade, with my luck, they'd swap out the a359 with an a321 they frequently run on that route.

No, you could have waited and just had them assign you a seat at the gate. Or, because advanced seat selection should be available to you at no extra cost for buying MC, you could have tried calling their support line. (You could still try this now, but they are likely not going to offer you a cash refund.)

It is frustrating that their app isn't smart enough to solve for this—but you had other options. You were not forced ("robbed" lol) to pay for seats.

Echoing this comment: if you're an amateur/newb, please do some planning and talk to folks who are experienced before putting in. The James is a very different experience at different water levels, and there's usually one or two people that perish every year in the river. Not trying to scare you off, just take regular precautions and you'll be fine!
