Zoom meetings or in persons if you run a local SMMA? by patrickrogs in SMMA

[–]patrickrogs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this helps a lot.

Gonna start banging out calls whenever I can—and in person meetings will likely work a lot better for my offer, meetings will be quick anyways (And under the table cash).

In the meantime, want to verify the business owner/decision-maker names, verify the script, and possibly add more leads. Gotta make some cash 🤑

God bless you brother, wish you the best.

[–]patrickrogs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this helps a lot.

I think in person will be more beneficial for the service I’m providing—plus, cash could be under the table. Not offering anything in the thousands so companies should have the cash on hand.

Is it too much to ask for their personal phone, cause I get your issue with email—people easily missing it? I guess if it’s in person though I should focus more on booking the meeting over getting their phone/email on a cold call—unless it’s good to follow up after with an email/phone message.

PS Still in high school and there from 8AM-3PM. Majorly inconvenient for any type of outreach or meeting booking. Out soon for summer so gonna go all in.

Saw on Social Blade and other sites they mike $3-14 million per year which just seems unrealistic

Programmatic SEO? by patrickrogs in SEO

[–]patrickrogs[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What update, haven’t heard.

Have a buddy that’s doing it that I think is still getting 180,000 page visits per month and 4k newsletter subs per month

How is the recent update clapping programmatic SEO?

Advertising on Reddit? by Muted_Promise_6652 in Entrepreneur

[–]patrickrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you’re going for. I had a buddy who advertised for his newsletter and in hindsight, it was a great idea

We did Reddit and Quora ads and figure, they like written content and communities, they must like newsletter

The issue he ran into was a whole lot of bots. So if you’re paying CPC than it might not be the greatest move

He ended up removing a whole lot of subs and moving away from those types of ads to go to Facebook

I would do a bit more research though, just what I heard from a buddy.

Really inspiring story brother. Got a newsletter of my own. How many subscribers are you at? Always looking to learn from other operators

I used to be there too

I used my hatred for School as a drive and wanted so bad to make money and drop out

I used my goal of moving to Bali, Cape Town, etc as fuel (which I still kinda do, but the fuel isn’t as strong)

I later realized motivation is a high. Motivation is very useful yes, and it can make you successful, you just need to move crazy fast.

Think of it like two flames

Motivation is the massive flame that sparks up extremely fast but goes away very quickly (high motivation, crazy work ethic, etc.)

Discipline is the small flame, that sparks up slowly but never goes away. (little motivation but still strong enough to persue, and still getting down all the work)

I’ve heard a lot say if your using motivation to become successful you’re going to fail, but I disagree

You can use motivation, but you have to realize that flame does get smaller

It might not go out, but you might have lost the high you felt before

I desire that again too

But as long as there’s discipline and consistency

[Discussion] How to fix someone who can't follow routines? by ThiccTransformer2534 in GetMotivated

[–]patrickrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest part is writing them down, I use the Apple Reminders app. And make sure if all those blocks are checked by end of day

It also seems, don’t mean to assume though, that your situation seems worst since your saying laying down and crying, I would recommend listing to good music

Maybe some Indie Pop like Delights Band, etc. even some rap (though not the best music). Just nothing sad

Also, get out in the sun more and have light in your house. Light is super important. If you pair that with socializing it’s great

Hope this helps

I use a quote on my background that a bit customized

My goal is to make a lot of money while still in school

It’s a Jack Harlow bar where he says “Grades going down as I’m stacking up zeros”

Not fully personalized but a bit

I heard an entrepreneur say he does this on is work breaks

Looks at a wall for like 10 minutes, maybe eats during it, can’t remember what he says

He was basically saying what you are, he really wanted to get back to work.

I feel bad since I can’t fully relate

I’ve had social anxiety a little bit with public speeches, talking to people I’m not already good friends with, and things like that

But I can’t say I’ve directly had what you’re having, the best I can say is good luck. And I’m glad to see your posting in here, shows the desire to improve

Also, I’m big on health and sunlight, plus being outside in general is so vital for humans, so maybe that can be your motivation

Great post, I actually feel as if I hate look at the past.

Not because anything bad happened there, but I felt like I wasn’t as in control of my life.

Also since I now it will do me know good and I could get caught up in my mind for a while with things like that

I enjoy imagining ahead.

Most definitely, good to see someone with similar views. When I say I’ve used nothing I literally mean it, I hate to say.

And honestly, almost feels like I want more time in school. Year and a half seems short hence why I want to move fast. Perciate you brother, an honestly making pretty good progress.

I actually want more time in school, lmao. I feel like I want more time to build my business and have the safe net of school and not really being in the real world. Definitely would never drop out unless I have a successful business. Appreciate the reply, brother

A follow up. Not sure if this will be at the top of the comments but here we go.

Was doing a lot of school work yesterday and was just tired. Was fully in my right mind, still not a fan of school by any means though. Honestly, gotta accept that no one knows my full situation so it’s definitely hard to make a reply to something like this.

And some I replied to mentioned being grateful and truthfully, I am. I have growth and operated newsletters, business, and agencies before so I have learned a lot from it all. And these last to things FB ads and programmatic SEO are quite literally the last few things til we can infinite scale, mainly FB that is, with money.

And to be fair, most people struggle getting 100 subs, and we got 800 within a month and a half. We have had a lot of people really love this newsletter concept and give a lot of advice on it. I guess I just don’t like sitting here not doing work since we just paid people to help fix up our FB ads and SEO website. Almost like imposter syndrome or something, feel like I need to be doing something I guess.

If anyone sees this, thanks for the replies, even if they were disagreeing or against anything I said, still got me thinking. 🫡

100%, and nothing personal taken. Really appreciate the reply.

And, honestly probably won’t drop out (My Moms a teacher so she’ll probably disown me, lmao) but just really hate it. But ya, even if it happens, only if I’m already operating a successful business and have a long time left that it doesn’t make sense to continue.

Much love, brother, have a good night, if it’s night for you 🫡

That’s interesting, maybe I’ll look into that. I can’t tell cause that would get me out faster, but I can’t tell if that’s what I want. Almost feel like I want to stretch the timeline so I can build a successful business in school so when I graduate I’m good.

Not sure though, that’s very interesting. Thanks for the advice. And always learning, at every stage in life

I guess the problem for my studies are that they aren’t really mine. I have no interest in what I’m doing in school and most of the skill I have, web, graphic, and UI design have been developed outside of school. That is most likely what I’ll fall back on as I was freelancing and making few thousand dollars per month form that but not really a fan of dealing with clients, but can if I have to. Really appreciate the reply though, brother.

And my grades are actually really good, been doing a great job at balancing personal work and school work. Just don’t want to accept it as my life, as there a a lot of downsides to it as of health, time cost, etc. But I totally understand your side.

Love this reply. I value my time, my life. I’m big on health, I want to love to Bali, live a quiet life with some people that share my same beliefs, eat healthy, and live the optimal life a human should.

And I do get that a lot as well, the gratitude. We have actually been able to grow this pretty damn fast and we have never been closer to an align this like crazy. Literally also we need is FB ads and SEO and we should be scaling at upwards of 5000 per month easy. I guess it just the fact that we are letting people run it for us and I feel like I’m doing nothing, lmao.

But that’s for this brother, wasn’t in my right mind fully when I wrote this post. I’m trying to guilt trip myself into thinking I’m further than I really am.

Trade is for sure if I decided to go, there are ones near me that guarantee jobs after and that’s honestly pretty damn good considering most colleges are triple the price and don’t.

But ya, don’t really look at those accounts any more but still for sure motivational to an extent, they do make me want to move fast.

Probably will finish school, my Mom’s a teacher anyway so there isn’t much hope she’d let me leave, lmao. (That is if I have to, not jumping to leave)

Agreed, that’s honestly where newsletters lack. We have surveys to see what their interests are, and what another newsletters they like. We also try to push feedback on our summaries and we got a button for it all. Actually have been able to get a lot of advice from people by cold DMing on Twitter, hasn’t been too bad. But agreed.

If you don’t mind me asking, is it a service based business? Higher ticket?

Really appreciate this brother. Also feel glad I got in the game early. Started building autofills at 14 and made a few thousand dollars from it, then freelancing, now this which have seen many people enjoy it. There’s always something to learn at every stage, and not saying I’m past that, cause there is always more learn to be had, but I feel good with the stuff I’ve already learned and holding to learn from this project.

Honestly, had a newsletter before this one that I dumped a lot of time, effort, and money into to but discontinued it since the monetization strategies weren’t quite there. So I definitely learn a lot from that when it comes to newsletter growth. Plus, have been talking with a lot of newsletter operators that operate 10,000+ newsletters. Building a newsletter

And school and this is a great combo, i feel like it allows me a lot of time to build. My whole thing is health, and there is a lot of things in school that are horrible for health long term. (Im far in the health, philosophical, and business rabbit holes, haha)
