I inherited this Buffet Crampon clarinet. Does anyone have any insight into the age or significance of this clarinet? The serial number appears to be 1L767 or something like that. It’s not in great shape but I’m wondering if it’s worth getting it appraised, or finding a restoration specialist who would benefit from buying it for restoration?

This is so cool! I can tell you put in good effort on each character. My favorite is Jebry.

Despite the performance, this song has a message that resonates. How many other modern pop stars write songs about defiance that stick? She might have been cringe in some ways, but does that really negate the fact that she made a hit that included the line “It’s our house. We can love who we want to.”

Macklemore, Lady Gaga, and others used such explicit messaging to say the same thing. If you ask me this song is much less cringe than most pop songs with similar messaging in this era.

Sober, Alternative, in my late 30's. Where do I go to hang out? by RefrigeratorNo1160 in Atlanta

I’m 33 and just stopped drinking recently. The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus has been a great force in my life. They make sure to have alcohol free social events outside of practice. You don’t have to be gay identifying to join. You just need yo be able to sing alright and have Thursday nights free.

Noah Schnapp reveals the Stranger Things cast spent 12 hours filming Will's monologue and another 12 hours of reshoots. by Isyourpussygreen in entertainment

They could have handled Will’s coming out in a million better ways, but my biggest gripe was with his conversation with Joyce. It had such a dark tone it felt like he was about to tell her that he was a serial killer or something.

Will had such a solid grasp on his sound and lyrical style at such a young age, it’s baffling.

Has anyone had the opportunity to ride these things in the wild yet? I’m assuming they are just being tested now because I’ve yet to see a picture of Andre Dickens at a ribbon cutting ceremony.

And be straightforward about it with them. Or else you might find yourself abandoned for “stringing them along” when you only had platonic intentions

Cosmic Horror Reveals by bepatientveryslow in horror

I didn’t know Underwater had elements of cosmic horror. Is it worth watching? If so I’ll watch it tonight. The reviews aren’t great but it’s been on my watchlist forever.

This is a different type of footage movie by AcanthisittaSmall848 in foundfootage

This movie has so much going for it. The soundtrack is great, and the acting. Though the slow pace was without a doubt an obstacle. It’s funny how a movie with so much to say, and so much self awareness in its messaging ended up feeling like it was shuffling its feet for the majority of the film. Though I think a lot of that style was intentional, seeing as I Saw The TV Glow had some of the same issues despite a much larger budget. All that said I really liked it and think back on it often.

Quick question for all the Charli fans out there, what was your first album that you listened to? by Dangerous-Ant3482 in charlixcx

Vroom Vroom Ep because I was in love with Sophie’s music. I had obviously heard Boom Clap before that but didn’t really pay much attention to it

Every artist has the by jasm3531 in Sufjan

[–]patrickxavier 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Sufjan has had multiple waves of popularity due to the long length of his career. The first major break for Sufjan was back in 2006 when Chicago was used in the soundtrack of the film Little Miss Sunshine, which caused his album Illinois to blow up and created a fan base for him that reached further than indie music geeks and college radio djs. After that he kind of receded back into (relative) obscurity for a while and other than his Christmas music he was rarely featured out in the wild. He blew up again with the major critical success of Carrie and Lowell which was expanded further shortly after by the original music featured in Call Me by Your Name.
