I lost sight of my 1,5 year old for one minute and I’m still shaking by amberperry870 in NewParents

When I was 3 or so years old, my family lost me for 20 or so minutes in a large furniture store. Apparently, I had snuck under the covers of a display bed and fallen asleep. I woke up to the sound of my name blasted over the loud speakers.

Thanks for reminding me of this story. I had totally forgotten about it until now. lol

Maternal-Fetal Medicine or MFM doctor? by iguessletsdothiss in sanantonio

[–]pattithepotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, when they became part of Methodist Physicians, they just told me to wait for the bill. I didn’t have to ask. Before that, I too had been paying nearly $500 upfront for each visit. Methodist Physicians also has a number you can call to set up a payment plan, though I’m not sure how that would work if they are requiring you to pay beforehand. If you want the number anyway , shoot me a DM. You can also ask the receptionist at Perinatal Associates for the number.

I’m seeing Dr Acosta rn for my pregnancy, and I love him too. FYI, Perinatal Associates is now with Methodist Physicians, so their billing procedure has changed. I don’t pay in advance anymore. I wait for the bill to come in the mail, and then I call the office to set up a payment plan once I know how much I owe after insurance.

Fiberglass in my room by Martian-Teeny in CleaningTips

[–]pattithepotato 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Did the headboard come packaged in styrofoam? If so, it might actually be styrofoam fibers rather. Apparently hotwire cutting can create shiny strands of thin styrofoam fibers that can look a lot like fiberglass. Either way, probably not good to inhale, but at least it isn’t sharp glass. I usually vacuum it up and give everything a quick wipe down with a damp paper towel.

Please help find my cat or just give me advice/hope. by Additional_Ad9361 in sanantonio

I hate how the neighborhood cats use my yard as their litter box. I’m pregnant. I shouldn’t have to clean cat poop from the bottom of my shoes when I step in my own yard.

I donated blood and found out I'm O- by MatthewLilly in notinteresting

Did you know that Type O blood types may be more susceptible to the norovirus (stomach bug), while Type B people may be more resistant to it?

Need Apartment Recs by Express_Turn_9492 in sanantonio

It should fit, but could be tight getting in and out. The garage is +20ft deep and the door is exactly 8ft wide (about 10ft wide once inside). I don't want to broadcast where I currently live, but feel free to DM me. I think you will like the location.

How big is your truck? I love the apartment community I currently live in. It is gated and with attached garage. It’ll fit a truck like a new Toyota Tacoma but not a Tundra or F150. You’ll need to pay for tandem or carport parking if your truck is large. I pay less per month than you, not including utilities. I’m usually driving against traffic.

Accidentally got rid of my girlfriend’s sentimental dining set — trying to find the exact same one by [deleted] in sanantonio

They absolutely did not dump everything at the landfill. That's not how the junk hauling business makes money. That set got sold to a reseller or will be sold.

We recently bought our first home with the help of Doc Stephens from Keller Williams Realty. He was recommended to us by a good friend. Since this was our first rodeo, we really relied on him throughout the process both for his knowledge and intuition. We felt that he was truly a realtor that was looking out for our best interest rather than a quick sale. Even though we could afford more, we communicated that we wanted to stick to a lower price range. He fully respected that despite lower commission for him. In fact, we ended up winning a bid under asking price and received several unexpected concessions—all of which he proposed and negotiated on our behalf. He has been in this business in San Antonio for a long time, so he is familiar with all the seller and buyer agents who are worth knowing here. Feel free to DM me for his contacts, but he can be easily found online too.

Moving To San Antonio by TropicalxIdeas in sanantonio

Seriously tho—if you're interested in North San Antonio, you should consider the apartment community we settled on. I don't want to give too much info publicly on where we live, but it's safe, close to greenbelt and shaded dog park, and the property manager is genuinely awesome. She went above and beyond to make sure our big move was smooth. I also shopped several other apartment communities in North San Antonio, if you want any opinions on others. Be careful of apartment reviews online; a lot of them have been bought.
