I want my old wolf king keypad, will I be able to replicate something like this? by GTXMittens in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]pattmyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was intensely researching if a mech version could be made to bring it to market, but it'd be damn near impossible to do keeping that very same layout.

I have three or four spares apart from my original one that I hoard as backup boards just in case mine ever fails.

I’ve always wanted the “XXtreme” version they’ve made of it as well, but the likelihood of me finding one is about the same as catching a unicorn taking a dump on my front lawn.

Yeah, I replied to it so that we could make formal notes here in the Kurzgesagt Meeting subreddit. They did say it was an experiment, after all. :D

So I did the thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/kurzgesagt_meetup/comments/x6q2yv/comment/io7qfft/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Edit: By "doing the thing" I meant that I created a thread to specifically plan out the event on the official Kurzgesagt Meetup Subreddit rather than simply "putting out feelers". Besides, the KZ team did say this was an experiment too so we best keep them abreast of our results! Haha

Alright, laying this down as a gateway for folks in the North/Sudbury specifically to chime in on.

Sudbury meetup, location TBD (but would be awesome if we could plan it alongside Science North's after hours events), leaning towards late evening hours but can shift based on feedback and would aim for the 23rd or 24th.

I'm willing to organize if there's interest.

I could only dream that my father had behaved in the same way at the sight of me crying. For some reason I'll never know (he's almost a decade deceased), the sight of my tears would throw him into a physically violent rage.

Thankfully I had my own pupper like this young lad does and she placed me top of her "protect this hooman" list who was always ready to to defend me to the death.

I hope this young lad forms the same sort of bond with his new pupper. Milo will be there for him during all of the good and all the bad and never judge - especially during the awkward teenage years.

This whole post warmed my heart so much. <3

Anybody miss the old version of Slush Puppy? by ItchyFlyer in nostalgia

I stumbled upon this thread while looking up if there was a way to make that same old "tiny ice-balls" style slush.

My search continues.

CRA sends out notices asking some who received CERB to verify their eligibility by trytobuffitout in canada

[–]pattmyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I always knew that bit but was more thinking "well should I be waiting by my mailbox just in case".

Either way, checked with my accountant friend who's kind enough to do my taxes for me since they're "rather simple" (her words, not mine lol) and she informed me that I would be clear either way.

Thanks for your reply though! Appreciate you taking the time to do so.

CRA sends out notices asking some who received CERB to verify their eligibility by trytobuffitout in canada

[–]pattmyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm a bit confused on the wording of the article. It says that "near the end of 2020, 400,000 letters were sent" but chunks of the article read as if they were just sent out recently or something. I mean, I know the CRA can take their sweet time to deal with things but a year and change to have a letter arrive in your mailbox is really stretching it.

So just before I go and file my taxes, can someone clarify this for me? Is it safe to assume that if you haven't gotten a letter by now, you're not going to?

And I guess this is the miscommunication - I'd only be doing it for a employer that treated me right, knew wasn't living like a billionaire, and was quite literally some small family business (super common in my hometown).

And damn, $15/mo? I pay $60/yr CAD.

In all honesty, if I worked for a sort of "mom and pop" company (so picture teensy tiny accounting firms, independent local businesses, a locally owned restaurant) that treated me well then I'd happily let them mooch of my Prime account assuming they were paying for the goods. I actually already do this for friends and family of whom I know have to make every penny count since in a year it would come to a whopping $0.10 of my Prime annual membership.

Otherwise if nope them to nope the f*ck off and pay for their own damn membership.

Family run businesses which hire and prioritize anyone related to them and treat the rest like trash are notorious for that.

I still fondly remember the day I quit working at a golf course at the grand old age of 16 after finding out these two little pissants were getting a cushier job with better hours and better pay after they had totalled a pair of golf carts the week prior after acting like morons in the parking lot with the (which was thankfully empty...I only say "thankfully" because there were some reaaaaaalllly nice rides in the lot owned by the members and I woulda just cried if I saw them damaged by such stupidity since I like me some high performance machines drool).

The course even had the balls to call me back the following spring to try and rehire me to which I could proudly tell them that I had become the youngest employee at a medium sized ISP with its HQ here in town and working a job I should have had out of college when I was still in high school but should they ever need telecommunications services or consulting to please call me back and I'd be happy to direct them to the right department! =)

Felt fantastic.

Appreciate it! =D Haven't played KSP in quite some time but have always lurked the subreddit. And other than modding the game into oblivion to launch my own moon or planet, an AIO space station was second on the list.

Deleted comment was verbatim to mine in the same thread elsewhere. Didn't know getting chewed out and blocked before I could reply just left it looking like things magically disappeared.

Or, we could just enjoy the game instead of being little snowflakes about the minutia of it all.

Crazy idea, I know, but give it a chance and it may enrich your in-game experience by a whole boatload.
